Removed application via Ubuntu Software Center and re-installed along
with available free add-ons, but issue remains.
Launching application from terminal produced info in attached text file.
Note that the first two lines of messages in this file only appeared
after re-installation.

"0.18.4-1ubuntu2" to "0.18.4-1" (the latter available from Debian
experimental) resolved this crash for me.
