When using dual screens, the first login will set the two screens to
"the same as" or one on top of the other and use the same backdrop for
both. Because xfce draws them in order the old backdrop will be the one
that ends up showing on both screens.

N56) and the #1 fix in the first post does fix the problem for me as
long as I use surround 4.1 as 5.1 does not work.

Alas, still no joy.
I updated to the latest development kernel and as previously. In EFI,
system stops immediately after startup.
I am able to boot with the latest development kernal when system is in
LEGACY mode.
Additionally -
I downloaded the latest daily build (9/21/2013) of Saucy. Tried
I've confirmed that the 64-bit saucy daily build from 2013-09-20 fails
to boot with this message:
1. USB HDD: SanDisk has been blocked by the current security policy.

Retrying with secure boot disabled allows it to boot without error.

This bug still exists in 13.04. After installing SSSD, I can no longer
change the password for any user, including root. Uinstalling SSSD
didn't fix the problem. How can I revert PAM to how it was before I
installed SSSD?

As far as I can tell so far, this is the issue:
Your text editor probably realizes the text file is compressed and
uncompresses it on the fly. This is an issue where KTorrent is handed a
compressed file, and doesn't realize its compressed and tries to use it
as-is. Leading to garbage inp
