Hurray, in 11.10 the advanced mode is equipped with a π!
For those who didn't press [F1] for help: [Ctrl]+[P] also gives you a π in any
mode.

The Con button is the first button on the second row (Above the "D"
button, which is to the left of the COS button)

Did you try clicking on the button marked 'Con'? It stands for
constants. I see a times button... it's the x. what more do you want?
Also, requiring a close parentheses is normal, and not a bug.
