I can confirm this. The display flashes and then usually only the mouse
is active, everything else is dead. No useful logs. I try to
reconfiugre xorg and nvidia-packages and run nvidia-xconfig. Usually
after some reboots it works for the day but reappears with the next
reboot.

I too have been unable to reproduce this bug. However since this is a
card game I would reccomend running the following command in your
terminal (Applications>Accessories>Terminal)
sudo apt-get purge gnome-games gnome-games-data gnome-cards-data &&
sudo apt-get install gnome-games gnome-games-data
This bug was fixed in the package gnome-settings-daemon -
