That's right - I installed the older package from a 14.04 live
DVD/chroot, and used "sudo aptitude hold efibootmgr" to stop it being
updated to the broken version.
There may be simpler way of doing the live/chroot way, but I had to do a

looks like this has been submitted upstream by someone:

It's done the way it is to save RAM and startup time for every
interactive bash. If bash had to store both versions of a function, and
pick at runtime, it would be slightly slower every completion, and more
importantly, slightly slower to load.
As I understand it, this is the design tradeoff tha
HVM instance would have the same issue when using PV network drivers
(which usually they do for performance). However one also needs to cause
fragmented skbs which contain multiple compound page fragments. And that
depends on many factors which may not always be easy to meet.

This can happen in dist-upgrades, depending on the configure/trigger
order that's used. I think we should SRU this fix to 14.04/14.10. But
double check that dpkg in those versions supports the interest-noawait
variants first.

[Acer Travelmate B115-M] cursor jumps when
This bug occurred again now, but this time Super+S didn't close Expo mode.
The "window drag action" got stuck in Expo mode, and every time I pressed the
Super key, the window moved to to cursor position.
I had to run "sudo restart lightdm" from a virtual console to restart the
