Is GTK really responsible for setting up the session settings? It's the
default hinting setting that's wrong and that might simply be because
there is no gnome-settings-daemon to read the Ubuntu default settings
for hinting.
Normally you could fix it with:
gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemo
The serial update is now in production. Latest zesty image we have is
from 15th Feb and is not picking up the network (probably as expected).
