problem that new windows were created with their top and left edge
hidden behind the menu and
since we dont build ubuntu core images based on the artful archive this
would just be cosmetic ... (but yeah, technically we could also upload
it to artful ... xenial and bionic are the critical ones here though)

Seeing similar issue here on Intel NUC6i5SYH on Dell U3415Wb monitor on
DP connector. Problem happens when manually switching monitor input from
NUC Ubuntu 17.10 on DP connector to Mac laptop on HDMI connector on same
monitor.
Also cleared my /var/crash folder and submitted two reports using
2.29.4 debs and 16-2.30 core snaps use:
#include "/var/lib/snapd/apparmor/snap-confine.d"
This is sufficient to mark this bug Fix Released for snapd. For systems
that are affected by this bug with older revisions of the core snap,

I'm also observing a similar (or the same?) problem on a Panasonic

I just ran into this issue (2018-01-04) on Amazon AWS. The nvme drive was not
detected on Amazon's Ubunto 16.04. Fixed after running
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
apt-get dist-upgrade
reboot.
dist-upgrade seems to be the key. lsb_release -a says 16.04.03 now.

The fix that I've applied is to add the '2.5' to the list below.
1.) qemu-nbd --format=raw --connect $DEV $FILE
2.) wait until a 'pid' file appears in /sys/block/$BNAME/pid)
2.5) run 'blockdev --rereadpt' and 'udevadm settle'
3.) wait until $PART_PATH exists
4.) mount $PART_PATH to
I'm attempting to reproduce the bug. However, I get a hang when I run the
following:
$ autopkgtest-buildvm-ubuntu-cloud -a i386 -r artful -s 10G
Attached is a screen shot of the hang. It seems to be trying to boot
the image.

Also, I'm trying to run this on a VM instead of bare hardware. Could
that be an issue?

openvswitch: kernel oops destroying interfaces
I'd gladly help with this issue is any of the developers willing to do
this? I can provide alsa info and other stuff. I mean... its a pain it
hasn't been solved for almost two years now.

some minutes on Installing Ubuntu 17.10, the installer crashs showing

i am using ubuntu 17.10 and KVM with 4 multiple guest VMs.
under Ubuntu 17.04 i had this in my /etc/network/interfaces:
auto virbr0
iface virbr0 inet dhcp
bridge_ports eno1
Seems to be fixed since at least libmtp 1.1.13 (already in Artful). See
the Debian bug report.
