receive data as soon as the scanner starts exploring the document.
But in Kubuntu 18.04 Xsane waits to start receiving data until the
scanner has finished exploring, which it makes much slower to scan
sever
There firewall is ok. But I found that something got messed up when trying to
connect to the VPN from inside our office. The VPN should be used outside the
office of course, but I just wanted to test it. I don't know why, but it
started working after doing "apt purge --auto-remove network-manage

1. Upstream has a new stable series 2.3 and are on 2.3.1 already.
Debian is working on is, but still in experimental, but we'd like to do that
for Cosmic.
Therefore syncing on https://bugs.debian.org/c
Also in a discussion with fellow Ubuntu server team members all were
still +1 on dropping it and recommending to maintain such code outside

the fly !!!
But yes special user's case also need custom user settings. Not a real bug per
se, but more of a wish

Hi Daniel, after read through your suggestion, I found some problem. I'm
actually using Wayland, so that shouldn't be a Xorg crash, right?
And in the /etc/gdm3/custom.conf, I saw this:
