Sorry, I've been on leave for a while, and I can't touch the cluster
right now.
If you have a cluster to test on, all it takes is using any of the
tools from remote to trigger the leak. You can see how the number of
open filedescriptors increase in /proc/pid/fd/ for the cib process.

I have found that sometimes icons in the sidebar are mysteriously
coalesced. For instance, I've had Chrome and gedit merge into a single
icon, and clicking it would bring up the windows for both. However, this
happens too seldom to be reproducible, and I am not sure it has happened
in 12.04 yet,
No idea, I haven't touched it in ages.

I finally got to check the status of this on Ubuntu 17.04. Same computer but
upgraded ubuntu.
Print from LibreOffice gave this in log (dmesg):

provided and keys are responding correctly at that stage. But later when
entering user information the keyboard setting is wrong.

I've conducted a test for some ISO's that I've got:
* Groovy from 8th Oct 2020
* 20.04.01
* 20.10
* Hirsute from 17th Jan 2021
The last three were downloaded 17th Jan.
All versions had correct keyboard layout where one could test the keyboard.
Likewise all installs had correct layout after
I have just tested 20.10 and 20.04.02.
For 20.10 it's OK
For 20.04.02 the bug is still present.
These tests were done on both VMware 16.1 and VirtualBox 6.1 both of
those on same Ubuntu 20.04.02 host.

I ran into this today. My system has packagekit 1.2.2-2ubuntu3, so it
does not look like it is related to bug 1943189.
Since this computer currently is used for testing, I'm in no hurry to
install the NVIDIA drivers so I can do some further testing, if needed.

I've done some more testing on the daily images from today and

Similar issue, Compiz on Gutsy, 1 row of 8 desktops.
Ctrl-Alt-Left and Ctrl-Alt-Right switch *two* desktops to the left and
right, respectively.
~/.gconf/apps/compiz/general/allscreens/options/%gconf.xml contains:

Correction, I was able to watch the first episode using mplayer. With

One thing that just occurred to me, could this be caused by
interoperability issues between NetworkManager and the specific NIC
driver being used (tg3 in my case), as in this report of a similar

/etc/init.d/nis in the normal startup sequence. The second-to-last
instance is from the beginning of /etc/rc.local. The final instance is
