Ubuntu better.
Please can you explain why you think this is a bug in irqbalance?
Or, if you're asking for help with an issue on your system rather than
reporting a specific bug, then the bug tracker isn't really the
appropriate
Note: this bug is blocking SRU verification of bug 1427406.

I don't think that bug is sufficient to block SRU verification without
further reports or confirmation, since nothing I know of deletes
/etc/mysql/my.cnf.fallback so I think it has likely been deleted
manually on the reporter's system. Removing verification-failed since I
don't want this SRU cancel
Thank you from taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.
Please can you explain how /etc/mysql/my.cnf.fallback came to be deleted
on your system? Is this something you did yourself, or if not, please
can you provide steps that reproduce the deletion of
/etc/mysql/my.cnf

The underlying problem is that 2.73 accidentally change the meaning of
dnsmasq --conf-file
from "don't read any conf-file" to "read the default conf-file".
This is a bug, not a feature, and I've just committed a fix to git.
Cheers,
Simon.

Thanks Martin.
I'm confused why this isn't causing widespread problems for lots of
users. I've got about 10 scripts in those folders which were installed
by Ubuntu or various packages. Surely they did something useful? If I
understand you rightly, they've all stopped getting run, for any user
