The "nv" driver in 4.2.0 didn't support flat panels. Run one of
the 4.2.99.x snapshots and put:
Option "FlatPanel"
in the Section "Device".

I upgraded the nv_drv.o using the source for 4_2_99_4
so that the driver problems are gone.
