Today I attempted to install X from cvs. Make world
worked fine, but when i attempted to make the install
target the process exited with the errors pasted
below. This is the first time I've attempted to
install from cvs, so if I am doing something wrong I
appologize.

I use XFree86 4.1.0 on a Toshiba Portege 4000 laptop installed from
NetBSD's xsrc module which was updated today, just before the compilation.
The problem is that when typing fast the keyboard sends some keys twice or

I have just compiled and install XFree86 4.1 on my linux system. I am
using a Voodoo 3 graphics card, a Sony Multiscan 20se || monitor. I am
currently install X into /opt/X11R6 just for testing purposes. When I run
startx it finds the proper xinitrc file and passes it to xinit, xinit then

since I upgraded my XFree86 from 4.0.3 to 4.1.0, I can't you the dri extension
for
the Voodoo 4.
The XFree 4.0.3 had a RPM package called XFree86-tdfx-dri-4.0.3 ... that
provided the
dri capability for the Voodo 4500. It worked quite well.
