Re: new Theo Parrish album out Friday
Looking forward to both, while this has been a shit year overall, it has been another stellar year for music in general. The dancefloors may be empty, but I'm still vibing in the whip, studio and or dining room! Re: new Theo Parrish album out Friday
Thanks Andrew! This should be fun, going to be interesting to do a set with my whole collection at my disposal. twitch.tv/rhythmnationsandiego I'll be dropping my spin on the sound startingt 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, playing tunes for about 2 hours. Re: New recommendations from Ash Lauryn
Great read all around, and if some of y'all were curious what Tom Cox (former 313 list rabble rouser) was up to. He did a nice piece on Sistrum Recordings. Re: Still on?
Well you should be more shameless in your self promotion, that Prepaternal (Paternal Revision) is some funky shit! TIP! Outside the things that you mentioned in your email, the futute beat alliance album , beginner's mind has been doing it for me, and we just learned there's a claude yong remix forthcoming of one of the tracks. The new Jay Daniel, Jon Dixon, Theo and listmember contributions from Kevin and Kent are also doing the damn thing. While there's no scene to speak of, I've enjoyed having the time to really get down and examine this thing we call dance music. This has been a shit year, but we gotta keep going and dancing, if we can. On Fri, Oct 9, 2020 at 10:51 AM Tristan Watkins wrote: > Hey all, > > Pleased to see the madness has died down here. Re: Hi. I made another record...and an interview...
Hear Hear! he's been making some of the most inspired music in this genre for quite some time now. I'm glad others are starting to take more notice than before. Re: Tresor Never Sleeps
Pretty surreal to see this, jokes aside for being able to book yourself to play on the system with one guest aside. And who knows what's next, since this doesn't seem like we're emerging from this pandemic anytime soon. I happened to cop the Drexciya hardcover and t-shirt right around festival time. But it's still sobering to see and wonder what will be left standing when it's all said and done. all three records sound good to me. Glad to see there's new material in the pipeline!
