Re: Anybody running v17 server on Windows 2008r2?

Thanks Randy ... at least I can tell my customer with honesty that there is
a problem with their OS installation and not with 4D!

Re: Anybody running v17 server on Windows 2008r2?

2018-11-29 Thread Randy Jaynes via 4D_Tech
Pat,

We have a couple users still using Windows Server 2008r2.

The only thing we ran into was an issue trying to use PHP Execute to unzip some
files.

We found this tip
http://kb.4d.com/assetid=77608

There is a note at the bottom that says
In order to properly use PHP in v14 and v15, the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1
Redistributable Package (x86)
 or .Net
Framework 3.5 needs to be installed.

I had to use the Server Manager to install the .NET framework and then we were
good.

Re: Anybody running v17 server on Windows 2008r2?

2018-11-29 Thread Two Way Communications via 4D_Tech
I am running 4D server v17R2 on Windows Server 2016, on a minimal Amazon Tmicro
server. (lowest config available)

I must say it performs flawlessly, despite only having 1GB of memory (!) and an
AMD64 processor…
Response is quite fast, too. Amazing!
