hi prateek, Kurzweil is another popular OCR cum scanning software. In addition, it has screen reading facility, so one can read books in the software itself and need not use jaws or any other screen reader. I myself have not used it, but have been told that it cannot recognise tables very well, which fine reader does it quite intelligently. I use fine reader. also i think kurzweil can make mp3 files of the etext using the TTS in it, so that you can carry it on a CD or a mp3 pen drive and listen to your book elsewhere. Others on the list might apprise you on this or you can even get the info from NAB technology helpline.
