So far, I tried Loquendo Dev, and Ryan. Dev was good compared to Ryan. Ryan has voice cuts etc. Performance wise seriously it has improved a lot. Its working fine on N73ME. Hello All I was waiting for this thread do die out naturally as it is of no consequence to the list, However, it is still brewing. As the list goes the official position is that we are neutral to grammatical errors and it is utmost important that members express without any inhibition. We believe, one should work towards excellence and developing language skills is an important step in this direction. As we learn from each other and the list is a good platform for it. Those who are gifted in this ability may certainly help our brethren in helping develop this skill. Having said that, any comments in this direction should be a private message and definitely not on the list. Language skills is positively not in the topics allowed on the list and it would amount to off-topic posting. I still do see festival greetings messages, congratulation messages and those asking a copy of software, circulars etc from a member who has made a posting regarding it. These are all personal messages and it should be directed to that member and not on the list please. Comparatively speaking such breaches are low considering the number of members we are presently. New members need to take this seriously. I do acknowledge with happiness the maturity levels shown by and large. I guess, the version you are running is not 5.01.1. it is 5.003 instead. I am saying this because I faced the similar issues in this version. However, I didn't encountered any issue with the latest version (Talks 5.01.1). Please confirm the version again. To know the version that you are running, press Talks key (menu key in C5) once followed by * (bottom left key). Once the talks and zooms is launched, press key one to take options and move to about and note down the version from there. As a visually challenged person, if I am going in an unsafe direction on the road, and somebody guides me to the right one, I would definitely feel obliged. However, if I am deliberately heading in to a wrong direction, even then if some elderly person corrects me, it is my moral duty to be obliged, because that person is actually favoring me. It is always better to correct ourselves before it is too late and we have to suffer on account of the mistakes which could have been corrected or avoided very easily. Hence there is no reason for me to feel bad thinking that I have been insulted on the road. So Ravi, Mr. Nandio is absolutely right in saying that we should be always ready to accept constructive criticism, especially if it is in the form of an advice from an elderly person. If your RSS feeds re not updating properly in Internet Explorer 8
(most probably in Windows Vista or Windows 7), there are couple of
things you can try.
Problem Type1: Feed Synchronization Issue
Fir and fore most verify if the feed synchronization is corrupted.
Here is how you do it.
Open a command prompt (Click stat, type cmd.exe and click on the
cmd.exe to opena command shell)
Type in the following command
schtasks /query | findstr /i user_feed
If you see error in the output then your feed synchronization is broken.
Errors look something similar to
ERROR: The task image is corrupt or has been tampered with.
ERROR: Task cannot be loaded: User_Feed_Synchronization-{.
To fix the Feed synchronization issue, run the following commands at
the command prompt.
msfeedssync disable
msfeedssync enable
This should take care of the feed sync problem.
Problem Type2: Corrupted RSS feed database
If you do not see any errors in the Feed Synchronization then the
problem might be with the Feed Database. To fix this issue. lets
start with exporting all out feeds so that we don’t have re-subscribe
again.
Open IE, and click Alt key to get to the menu bar.
Go to the File menu and click “Import and Export .”
Select Export to a file and click next
Select feeds and click next.
Export the OPML file to some place where you remember.
Now lets delete the feed databases. Close all IE windows.
Browse to the following folder
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Feeds (Do not for to
replace YourUserName with your actual user name).
Select all the contents in the folder and delete them.
Now, lets import our saved feeds. Open IE and go to File menu (Click
Alt button to get the menu bar)
Select Import And Export. and click next
Select Import from a file and click next
Check the feeds box and click next
Select the previously saved OPML file and click next.
You should be all done, and hopefully your feeds are now working as expected.
