Hi friends, Hope all are doing well. I am in need of IGNOU History material (EHI 01). I have downloaded PDF files of the same from EGyan Kosh website and converted it into word file. But the text I have got has proved to be of no use because it’s too distorted to make any sense. I do not have hard copy too since I am not enrolled with IGNOU. According to the Washington Post, Internet Explorer was known to have exploit code for unpatched critical flaws for 284 days of 2006. In the location box, put the full path to the nircmd.exe file that you downloaded, and append the “cdrom open” command to the end of it, adjusting the drive letter to match your disc drive: block quote “C:\path\to\nircmd.exe” cdrom open D: block quote end Note the location of the quotes.. if you are using a path with spaces in it, you need to make sure the quotes are only around the path to the executable, and the arguments should be placed after the quote. Give the shortcut a meaningful name, like Eject CD or something like that, and you’ll have a new icon (read below on how to use the cd-rom icon as shown) You can move the icon to anywhere you’d like… double-clicking on it will immediately eject the drive. Hi Parvez, Hope you are doing well! Why do you want to convert .pdf to .doc? I am asking this because JAWS reads the PDF file (IGNOU books). Secondly, you can even ddownload the .txt version of the same PDF file from the web page, from where you downloaded the PDF file. What you have to do is, when the PDF files get open, go to file menu and select the option Save as text or something like that, do not select the option Save as copy. Hope this helps! While Internet Explorer 7, 8 is a huge improvement over it's predecessor but it still is no where near as secure as Firefox. When it comes to patching vulnerabilities found, Microsoft has been notorious for not releasing patches in a timely fashion. According to the Washington Post, Internet Explorer was known to have exploit code for unpatched critical flaws for 284 days of 2006. The article goes on to compare this with 9 days for Mozilla Firefox.
