[AI] autocomplete

Friends
My outlook 2007 is refusing to autocomplete names while writing addressee in 
composing mails.
The relevant options are checked.
Once I send a mail, it is autocompleting name of that recipient next time, but 
it is not autocompleting all the previous ids which are there in address book 
already.

What may be wrong and how to fix it?

[AI] Not able to send smss

Friends,

As mentioned, not able to send smss since two days.After sending it shows 
(unable to send sms close the application and try again).
 I have restarted my mobile,reset the memory card, sim and removed the battery. 
I checked the setting, also fine. Getting no result. Any help in this regard is 
appreciated.

Sorry, the problem reappeared only with a slight variation that, the
limit is increased to 10 instead of 5.  The character incode is still
full support.  Any idea about the solution?

is it happening with every SIM? i used to use a Docomo connection and
got this problem resolved by changing SIM.
here are following possibilities:
1. scratches on SIM
2. Wrong message center number
3. Corrupted O.S.
4. problem with memory card if messages are stored in External memory
5. very less space available in internal memory to execute the app.

Please mention your phone model and O.S for further analysis.

Don't know if the same is happening with you but I realised that in my MS 
Outlook while writing the addresses in the To field, jaws doesn't announce 
auto completion but I get to know after pressing tab once if Outlook has 
autocompleted the address.

something must have gone wrong with the sms centre number.   go to 
messagings/settings/text messages/message centre and put the proper sms 
centre number according to your respective service provider.  Other than 
that, some of service providers will not allow you to send sms even if you 
have free messages if your minimum balance falls down.

have you put any message header such as cc and subject? if this is the case, 
just open the text message and press options/message header fields and 
uncheck if any.

Model is Nokia e63. One thing I had noted that the inner side of sim had 
some carbon liquid chemical type. I cleaned the sim well before use.

suggest to try with a different SIM. if the problem persists try
clearing internal memory and check message Sender number. if your mail
app is in messages like in c5 try deleting and reconfiguring. still no
solution then resetting might only be the solution. i think SIM
changing should solve the problem.

I has changed the memory card to phone memory, the problem still persists,

suggest to try with a different SIM. if the problem persists try
clearing internal memory and check message Sender number. if your mail
app is in messages like in c5 try deleting and reconfiguring. still no
solution then resetting might only be the solution. i think SIM

 is it happening with every SIM? i used to use a Docomo connection and
 got this problem resolved by changing SIM.
 here are following possibilities:
 1. scratches on SIM
 2. Wrong message center number
 3. Corrupted O.S.
 4. problem with memory card if messages are stored in External memory
 5. very less space available in internal memory to execute the app.

something must have gone wrong with the sms centre number.   go to
messagings/settings/text messages/message centre and put the proper sms
centre number according to your respective service provider.  Other than
that, some of service providers will not allow you to send sms even if you
have free messages if your minimum balance falls down.

anything in favour of physically handicapped people's complaints.


I've lodged a complaint against my denial of internet banking and for which

From procedural point of filing a complaint and the manner of dealing
with it, this information is very important. The aspects on which a
complaint can be filed are exhaustive and cover all of the services
the bank offers to its customers. The grounds include some matters
related to loans and advances also. Though there cannot be a complaint
for not sanctioning a loan, it can be for non-observance of RBI
directives, delay in decision, interest rate directives and
non-acceptance of a loan application. In a broader sense, the aspects
also cover what the customers expect from the bank about its declared
services. For effectively dealing with the complaint the banking
ombudsman has powers to call for information from the parties
concerned. The complaint needs to be in writing and supported by
documents and declarations as given in the scheme. The limitation
period for filing a complaint is one year.

GROUNDS OF COMPLAINT

A complaint on any of the following grounds alleging deficiency in
banking service may be filed with the banking ombudsman having
jurisdiction:

(i) non-payment/inordinate delay in the payment or collection of
cheques, drafts, bills, etc; (ii) non-acceptance, without sufficient
cause, of small denomination notes or coins tendered
for any purpose, and for creating a charge of commission in respect
thereof; (iii) non-payment or delay in payment of inward remittances;
(iv) failure to issue or delay in issue of drafts, pay orders or
bankers cheques; (v) failure to honour a guarantee or letter of credit
commitments; (vi) failure to provide or delay in providing a banking
facility (other than loans and advances)
promised in writing by a bank or its direct selling agents;
(vii) delays, non-credit of proceeds to parties accounts, non-payment
of deposit or non-observance of the Reserve Bank directives, if any,
applicable to rate of interest on deposits in any savings, current and
other account maintained with a bank; (viii) delay in receipt of
export proceeds, handling of export bills, collection of bills etc.,
for
exporters provided that the said complaints pertain to the bank's
operations in India; (ix) complaints form non-resident Indians having
accounts in India in relation to their remittances
from abroad, deposits and other bank related matters; (x) refusal to
open deposit accounts without any valid reason for refusal; (xi)
levying of charges without adequate prior notice to the customer;
(xii) non-adherence by the bank or its subsidiaries to the
instructions of Reserve Bank on ATM/
Debit card operations or credit card operations;
(xiii) non-disbursement or delay in disbursement of pension (to the
extent the grievance can be attributed to the action on the part of
the bank concerned, but not with regard to its employees); (xiv)
refusal to accept or delay in accepting payment towards taxes, as
required by Reserve
Bank/Government; (xv) refusal to issue or delay in issuing, or failure
to service or delay in servicing or redemption
of Government securities; (xvi) forced closure of deposit accounts
without due notice or without sufficient reason;

(xvii) refusal to close or delay in closing the accounts; (xviii)
non-adherence to the fair practices code as adopted by the bank;
(xix) any other matter relating to the violation of the directives
issued by the Reserve Bank of India in relation to banking services.
2. Complaints concerning loans and advances may also be filed, only in
so far as they relate to the
following:
(i) non-observance of Reserve Bank of India directives on interest rates.
(ii) delays in sanction, disbursement or non-observance of prescribed
time schedule for disposal
of loan applications.
(iii) non-acceptance of application for loans without furnishing valid
reasons to the applicant, (iv) non-observance of any other directions
or instructions of the Reserve Bank of India, as may be specified by
it from time to time.
3. The banking ombudsman may also deal with such other matter as may
be specified by the Reserve
Bank of India from time to time in this behalf.

PROCEDURE FOR FILING COMPLAINT

1. Any person who has a grievance against a bank relating to the

Strange! I have just tested with NVDA 2012.2.1 with GMail standard, Firefox 15 
on Win 7 and I could not reproduce issue you have mentioned. Which version of

Dear Access India members,

I am using NVDA with Eloquence. Of late, I am facing a strange problem
with this application. It reads out each and every character as I type
into an email message. But does not read the message line by line when
used with up/down arrows. So, I find it difficult to figure out the
words I have typed into each line.

Please note that I am encountering this issue only while composing
email messages and not while typing into a document. Therefore, I am
not sure if it is an issue to do with the gmail settings.

Further, it does not even announce the message Blank when I enter the
Compose Form.
I request the users of NVDA and other members who are well familiar
with this software to provide their assistance/guidance  to resolve
this problem.

First Talking ATM for the Visually Challenged in West Bengal, Union Bank's 
Initiative

September 28, 2012 
Union Bank of India installs the first talking ATM for the visually challenged 
people in West Bengal. Shri Debabrata Sarkar, Chairman and Managing Director of 
the Bank, today inaugurated this special ATM at the passport office at 
Anandapur near Ruby crossing in Kolkata. Shri Sarkar announced on this occasion 
that Union Bank will install 250 similar talking ATM counters in the country 
within March, 2013. Braille versions of the user guide for this type of ATM was 
distributed among the representatives of different organisations. An accessible 
and audio version of this manual is also put up on the Union Bank's web site. 
It is also available from the web site of Xavier Resource Centre for the 
Visually Challenged who compiled this manual.

Blind Persons' Association hopes that there will be many more accessible ATMs 
in West Bengal. A number of such ATMs have been installed in other cities in 
India. the audio system comes live as soon as a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack 
is inserted. A user can hide the display if he wants additional security. Right 
now he can withdraw cash, check account balance and even change his PIN. The 
card, cash Dispenser and receipt slots are marked with Braille labels.

actually, i  put free message pack in my mobile but despite that after sending 
a  couple of sms, i notice my balance  gets decrease in paise. 
any idea why this happens? i am using Airtel.

Going by the article, they are yet to make all the features and facilities
provided by the ATM machine fully accessible. At the moment, the blind users
can only check balance and withdraw cash. They cannot for instance, book
