Objective: Substituting page up and page down arrows with home and end

Also, once these changes are affected, do i need to keep this keytweak
installed or else i can remove it?

 Regarding display shut down:

I am getting four options when i press windo plus p
I.e. pc screen only, duplicate, extend and second screen.
And when second screen is pressed display goes off. Hurray

Alternatively, i checked in hardware options, i did get an option”work
without display” in accessibility enhancement options, but of no
 avail.
There are some very useful options in “easy of access” options in
win8. How can we use them?
Another problem, a sighted guy can read a brief about every option
beside it. Why can’t i with jaws?

Kindly know the main issue is regarding how to operate key tweak and

Hey, Amar.
I think there is some misunderstanding. I can recall asking you about
any mobility help.
But thanks anyways for the info. I have started to use the cane but am
a beginner. Just recheck and send this message to the intended and
correct reciever.

 Hi Champ,

Well, you can do things independently like bookings, letting airlines
know that you need an escort to assist you right to the seat of
aircraft (but if you are with family I don't recommend you taking help
as it is not required), talk to travel agents and google it up about
the places you can visit, check up on hotels and get the bookings done
if you haven't taken a package, arrange cab and stuff to get you
wherever you want from Airport, so basically the whole planning and
execution. I mean frankly you will need help just in visiting places
as you are not familiar with the layout.

 Happy outing!

Re: [AI] Regarding me travelling to Dubai

2013-12-16 Thread Kartik Sawhney
Hey Bhavya,

The message is a reply to the thread started by Shreyas. Amar is
sharing his experiences with airlines which has little to do with
mobility in general.

Any ways, Shreyas, I agree with Amar. While the airlines provide a lot
of assistance and it is absolutely possible to travel alone, you might
want to travel with your family instead (given that they're
accompanying you) and have fun.

Enjoy the trip!

Be mindful of the fact that some accessibility features are not
supported by IE 10 or 11. Personally, Math Player does not work for me
with IE 10/11, and I'm assuming that there might be some other
accessibility features/products that might not work with higher
versions of IE due to similar reasons.

Best,

Choose between the following list because all are accessible-
IE 9
IE 10
IE 11
Mozilla Firefox latest version
I generally use Firefox cuz tech experts say that IE is not really
great.
Check Google Chrome and please tell on or off list whether it is

Re: [AI] Using Pearl+Openbook as scanner

2013-12-16 Thread Piyush Pant
Dear Friends,
Sorry for replying to a topic which is one month old, as i have not been
checking the mail regularly.

Yes,
the price of Pearl is quite high therefore we have been using Lex
camera scanner at our university which is similar to Pearl but in some
cases even better and the price is only Rs. 48000/-. As Ms Chandrani
mentioned that she is facing problems in saving in image format. Lex has
the feature of saving the scanned book in high resolution JPEG format
at 300 DPI. The pages can be rearranged as required before saving in
JPEG.

You can save the scanned book in pdf also which Openbook does not supports.
Also in doc, docx, rtf, MP3 and JPEG.

Any questions regarding the scanner ask me as we are using it in our JNU
library.

Hi,

Pearl is the name of the device from FreedomScientific, which acts as
a camera scanner, and is being used in
 conjunction with Openbook (the
scanning and OCR software) to get the text out of the scanned image.
Basically one takes the snapshot of the page and then the rest of the
job is finished by Openbook.

Hope that answers the question.

Friend, first go to samsung settings by pressing left bottom corner
there is a finger touch, then search for accessability which is I
think third last in 30 items of samsung galaxy then inside
accessability the fourth option is talks back double tap on that when
you go inside talksback on right cornor upper side of the screen there
is on off double tap on it it asks would you like to start talkback
double tap two times on OK then your talksback is started, but first
time you should take help of a sighted person, for me shop keeper
himself switched on the talks back,
