Yes, yes.
Cannons of science and knowledge are entirely subjective.
It depends on individual.
I firmly believe I am not blind at all, so no treatment is required in the
first place, why validate it and so on.

first thing is most international journal publications are fake. In the end,
it depends on the individual. I have a positive oppinion. This can be debated

Hi Mr. Subramani,
Is there any scientific evidence for their course of treatment. Any treatment
has to be approved by medical board and scientific medical reports has to be
published in international refreed journals.
I still feel it is a waste of time, money on such un - recognized treatment
procedures.
I've already approached top ayurvedic/homeopathic doctors and they have also
confirmed that there is no cure for retinitis pigmentosa, and all these claims
are false claims and money making machines using the emotions of the patients
and their family.
Once again, I re-iterate my previous statement, which is, use your money and
time in empowering yourself with assistive technologies, for battling with this
disease.

you need to undergo a minimum of 8 courses of intensive treatment for rp cure
at sreedhareeyam. By taking one time treatment, don't expect results.
Although its upto the individuals to opt for the treatment, I have seen the
patients who have been cured of their RP in their hospital. Ayurvedic
treatments are timetaking.

contractions?
2. does the orbit reader support all Indian languages in Braille?
3. Does the orbit reader support many books formats like PDF, EPUB, word
and TXT? May I read books in this formats with it? Kind regards Aman.

Hi Deependra sir! I have heard that this player also supports some
libraries such as book share and sugamya pustakalaya. May we download books
from these libraries with this player and with the help of Wi-Fi
connection? Please clear my doubt. Kind regards Aman

Re: [AI] information needed about evo e10 radio

2018-07-10 Thread Dipendra Manocha
Dear Friends interested in evo E-10

This DAISY player is currently available with Saksham at the cost of Rs
9300. This has only English and Hindi languages TTS right now. It does have
WiFi connectivity and provides features such as internet radio nd pod cases
when connected to WiFi.

However, this is not been promoted very extensively as an upgrade version of
the same is expected in recent future with support for more languages and
connectivity to more services.

People not interested in languages other than English and Hindi can very
well get this plaer right now and enjoy the hardware player with internet
connectivity.

Thanks
Dipendra

Re: [AI] Ai Partaking in informal groups/ activities at the workplace

2018-07-10 Thread Rahul Bajaj
I think cultivating greater independence in a phased manner is important in
terms of having greater control over one's movements. This is also a function
of the nature of one's personality - introversion and disability do not make
for a good combination. One of the biggest obstacles is that you cannot seek
people out for a convo; it is contingent upon them reaching out to you.
It may often be the case that people are passing by and you don't know who they
are, so you lose out on the opportunity to strike up a conversation. People may
sometimes try talking to you or may be having a conversation that you're not
able to participate in because your screen reading software cancels out all
noise. You cannot see what is happening, so it is not the same as someone
listening to music.

I find that we sometimes also fall into the trap of confirmation bias wherein
we interpret events around us as being attributable to our disability when they
are actually not. I am not saying that you are doing this; this is something I
often find myself doing inadvertently.

That said, there are some who are very inclusive and interested in learning
more about how you do things, in light of your disability. This may itself
serve as the springboard for an engaging conversation.

Re: [AI] Sreedhariyam treatment

2018-07-10 Thread Dr. B. S. M. Kumar
Dear Mr. Subramani,
Just do not generalize your statement. What do you know about research work.
I've spent over two decades of time on research and published over 20
articles on highly reputed international refreed journals, and it is not an
easy job to publish a research paper in top international refreed journals.
Also positive approach does not mean that one blindfoldly follow someone's
claim without any evidence. When Sreedairyam, is claiming that, they can
cure retinitis pigmentosa, then Why are they not publishing their research
findings and get approval from the relevant authorities.
I still firmly believe these claims are completely farse and will try to
persuade everyone not to fall prey to such false claims, and waste your hard
earned money in pursuit of a treatment, which is currently not available.

Hi Mr. Subramani,
Is there any scientific evidence for their course of treatment. Any
treatment has to be approved by medical board and scientific medical reports
has to be published in international refreed journals.
I still feel it is a waste of time, money on such un - recognized treatment
procedures.
I've already approached top ayurvedic/homeopathic doctors and they have also
confirmed that there is no cure for retinitis pigmentosa, and all these
claims are false claims and money making machines using the emotions of the
patients and their family.
Once again, I re-iterate my previous statement, which is, use your money and
