Computer Training For Visually Impaired
Foundation Course in Computers and Employability
Duration: 6 Months

The new batch for Foundation Course in Computers and Employability for
the visually impaired will commence on November third Week, 2019.
Introduction to RCG Foundation:

RCGF, an NGO was established in 2008 with a mission to focus on
empowering and rehabilitating the Visually Challenged in new age
employment opportunities, by making them employability literate,
skilled in English communications, Mobility & Personality development
to enable them stand on their own feet and secure a job, support their
family, and to be a role model for the other Visually Challenged
people.

We run the course in collaboration with Enable India-Bangalore, the
number one institute in India which is providing the computer training
for the visually challenged people. Both the parties are working in
the field of disability and would like to join hands to promote the
benefits to the disability sector by participation in each other’s
programs. The main objective is to collaborate with each other by
using the strength of each organization, to maximize the benefit for
the person with vision impairment in the area of computer literacy,
domain specific training and employability training.

Introduction to Foundation Course in Computers and Employability:
Computer Training for the visually impaired is the greatest form of
empowerment which opens up the world to them: a world of information
(aiding research, education, daily living, recreation), people, jobs,
books (print to voice).
Computer training involves training on Computer Basics, MS office
applications, Internet using the JAWS & NVDA screen reading software
which are talking software that aid the visually impaired to “hear”
everything that a sighted person would “read”.
This is an initiative from RCG Foundation with the group effort of
Enable India team towards giving quality computer training for
visually impaired people who have completed their studies and are
seeking job, and those who want to continue their studies in the field
of computers.
Main goal of this course is to make the candidate employable by
providing computer knowledge and making them efficient in using
computers independently. This will increase the employment
opportunities, betterment of existing job, and for higher studies.
Course Contents:
1.  Life skills and life education training for both career and life:
personal competencies, overcoming disability, managing conflicts,
effective work habits etc.
2.  English training: spoken and written communication, business
communication and heavy emphasis is to enhance spellings.
3.  Computers: basic computers with Microsoft Office applications like
MS word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint, and internet.
4.  Miscellaneous concepts like scanning and reading, Printing
documents, CD Burning, Physical connections of computer, trouble
shooting etc…
5.  Employability training: disability specifics which will enable
candidates to overcome their disability, General employability
fundamentals which will enable them to work efficiently at workplace,
job simulation which will help candidates to know about different
jobs.
6.  Fun and Entertainment: which helps the overall development of the
candidates.
Material Used:
1.  Computers with Windows 10operating system and Office 2010,
A.  Jaws 18
B.  Latest NVDA
2.  Audio files for Theory
3.  Training Manuals and student manuals
4.  Self paced exercises for each concept.
5.  Weekly tests and final assessment test.
6.  Designed Curriculum with computer concepts and employment aspects.
7.  Tactile Diagrams
8.  EYE tool for automated correction and self learning.
9.  Spelling Tool
10. Real world exposure through role simulations on the computer

Activities:
•   Field visits to the bank, shopping malls, ATM’s etc where candidates
learn about the usage of computers in different fields.
•   Work shadowing in the companies
•   Real work which will give hands-on experience of working in a 
company/NGO
•   Candidates also carry out project work which involves requirements
gathering, planning, status reporting and execution.
•   20 hours of community project is compulsory.

Course Format:
•   The duration of the course is 6months. The first 6 months  will be
focused on basic computers with English communication, mobility,
employability and personality development.
Course Details:
Timings :   9:30 AM  – 5:15 PM, Monday – Saturday
Start Date  :   November third Week , 2019
Premise :   Rcg training center, Kakkanad
Course Fee  :   No Course Fee

Facilities:
Accommodation will be provided.
Assistance will be provided in getting employment for eligible
candidates based on their performance

paste the contents in edit field.  So where is the question of bot access?

I feel that, the audio capture is not the correct solution, instead the
audio capture, they may go for puzzle based capcha's.

I second your views.
OTP is the best solution in this context.
Let users enter their registered number to get OTP.  Else, based on user ID
system can send OTP to the associated number with the entered user ID.
Second solution needs some backend work although.

recaptcha in which the audio is not at all understandable. you can check
this recaptcha on indane.co.in login portal. why don't we fight for OTP or
text based captcha?

Hi AI Friends,

I am using Oneplus 5T for a long time now.

For few months now, I have been having issues with its dialer where I
cannot receive the call on my phone no matter what I do so I have to
use headphones to receive a call.

Other issue is that, When on the dialer of the phone, it only keeps
reading one name or number of the call in the recent calls. I then
have to go on the left side where i can read the contact name in
recent calls.

Also, while the call is on, I am not able to use the dialer for things like IVR.

Please help urgently.

screen, then keep swiping left pass all your open apps till you find the

the job front, thanks largely to emerging technologies. Research firm
Gartner has predicted that by 2023, the number of those people employed
will triple due to artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies,
reducing barriers to access. “People with disabilities constitute an
untapped pool of critically skilled talent,” said Daryl Plummer,
distinguished vice president and Gartner Fellow, adding, “AI, augmented
reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and other emerging technologies have
made work more accessible for employees with disabilities.” For example,

added. According to Gartner’s top strategic predictions for 2020 and
beyond, artificial emotional intelligence (AEI) is the next frontier for AI
development, especially for companies hoping to detect emotions in order to
influence buying decisions. Twenty-eight per cent of marketers ranked AI
and machine learning (ML) among the top three technologies that will drive
future marketing impact, and 87 per cent of marketing organisations are
currently pursuing some level of personalisation, said Gartner. Computer
vision, which allows AI to identify and interpret physical environments, is
one of the key technologies used for emotion recognition and has been
ranked by Gartner as one of the most important technologies in the next
three to five years. Gartner said that through facial recognition, location
tracking and big data, organisations are starting to monitor individual
behaviour and link that behaviour to other digital actions, like buying a
train ticket. The Internet of Things (IoT) where physical things are
directed to do a certain thing based on a set of observed operating
parameters relative to a desired set of operating parameters is now being
extended to people, known as the Internet of Behaviour (IoB), the firm
said. Said Plummer, “With IoB, value judgements are applied to behavioural
events to create a desired state of behaviour. Over the long term, it is
likely that almost everyone living in a modern society will be exposed to
some form of IoB that melds with cultural and legal norms of our existing
predigital societies.

1. Write to the Chairman of the Bank 
2. Write to RBI 
3. Complain to the Ombudsman 
4. Put it out on social media. 
5. ask other visually impaired bank customer's to do 1 to 4 above.
