The draft national Education Policy which was published in the ministry's
website mentioned that Mr. Arman Ali of NCPEDP was consulted during the
drafting process.

There were many national level disability groups who wrote in detail when
the draft was published - I have seen at least 4 different representations
sent in response to the draft.

I don’t think there was any disabled person on any committee. However the 
sector sent in its representations in detail. Some have been taken up while 
others ignored. 
In what we have succeeded we need to now work on regulations, guidelines etc. 
In what has not been included we can keep striving to see these included soon. 
There is a lot of work for each of us and we must do so immediately.

This session will be presented by Mr. T.D. Dhariyal - Advisor-Disability

CBM India Trust, Director, CABE Foundation, Former State Commissioner for
Persons with Disabilities - Government of NCT of Delhi and Deputy Chief
Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities - Government of India.

 

Mr. Dhariyal shall speak about the various entitlements provided by law for
persons with disabilities for availing services such as banking, insurance,
housing ETC. he shall also share his experience about different landmark
judgements passed during his long and illustrious career.

 

We encourage you to spread the word and help others to join this session.
