[Blind Graduates' Forum of India]

Dear All,

To combat an unprecedented time in history, we at the Blind Graduates Forum
of India (BGFI), have tried our best to continue working towards our goals. We
are  dedicated to our mission of making individuals with visual impairments
more independent through active collaborations with different stakeholders.
 BGFI also strongly believes that awareness is key to independence and
fighting discrimination.

In that regard, We've began the year with the sessions on Preventive Cyber
Protection and on RPD Act 2016. Eventually, with the lockdown, we started a
series of virtual sessions like Cooking, Grooming Etiquette, Hygiene & many
more. We also partnered with Big Basket to provide preferential delivery
services only for PWD’S. These are a few among the many activities we did.

While the world may have come to a pause and may be struggling to grapple
with this unfamiliar situation, BGFI has managed to adjust rather well and
forge ahead on its path to ensuring equity and equality. On this
International Day of Disabled Persons, BGFI celebrates the tireless work
and dedication of all our members and allies, both disabled and abled
alike. It is a celebration of diversity and inclusion. It is a celebration
of differences based on who we are, and not on what we look like or are
able or unable to do. It is a celebration of the reimagining of infinite
possibilities far beyond what our pasts have afforded us.

As this year comes to a close, BGFI, ready as ever, is already gearing up
for 2021. We are more committed than ever to creating awareness among the
abled about the needs of the persons with disabilities. This may or may not
be a hint to what we have waiting for you in the near future, under the
ambit of Creating Awareness! We have in store many exciting sessions and
events for advocacy and awareness that we are eagerly looking forward too.
And hopefully, so are you!

Use firefox and NVDA for HDFC bank. I tried the site with google chrome and 
NVDA and can duplicate the non-reading of combo boxes. 

 

The answer is to exit forms mode upon each press of the arrow keys and to then 
up arrow to read the current selection and then to return to the combo box and 
repeat the above procedure.

are again not visible in official data on violence, or in social discussions of 
the shadow pandemic. We therefore bring to you the perspective of and on women 
with disabilities and the violence they are facing in their homes during this 
very difficult time. Domestic violence has always been an issue, and it will 
continue in various forms even after COVID 19, but what is important is that we 
see and recognise it now more urgently than ever.

Yeni Rosa Damayanti is a Steering Committee member of TCI Asia, a regional 
organization for persons with psychosocial disability and the chair of 
Indonesian Mental Health Association. Yeni introduced the issue of psychosocial 
disability to the cross disability and human rights movement when the issue was 
still very much unknown and succeeded in pushing the issue into the center. 
Yeni has been working to introduce disability issues and perspectives into the 
agenda of women movement as well as introducing feminist perspectives to the 
disability movement in Indonesia .

 

Ekaete Umoh

Ms. Umoh is an activist and Disability Inclusion expert with astute analysis of 
gender, disability & development issues.  Founder/CEO-FACICP Disability+; first 
elected female President; Joint National Association of Persons with 
disabilities, Secretary; African Disability Forum-ADF, Member International 
Advisory Committee of Mobility International USA, Faculty member; CREA,

It is indeed a grate app. I've used on many occasions to troubleshoot my 
PC and the app never disappointed me. It is available on Android for

[AI] UNABLE TORECIEVE HANGOUTS CALL

Hi Access Indians,

 

I am using Google Hangouts for official communications on google chrome.
Whenever I get an incoming calls I am not able to receive calls. the screen
reader focus doesn't move to the pop up where decline and receive call
buttons are located. Thus the screen reader only gives information that
there is a call from so & so person but the screen reader  focus doesn't
move to the pop up. Therefore I would like to know from any one of you who
is using Hangouts how do you receive  incoming calls  and is there any
shortcut for receiving or declining  the calls.

I have even tried the same from the windows notification panel, but that too
doesn't work. If any one using Hangouts kindly let me know how do you tackle
this or else if any shortcut key stroke is there for both functionalities .
