Re: [AI] Accessible Cooking Appliances

2021-11-14 Thread Payal Ki Jhankar
Hi Sachin
Often, we look for gadgets that we presume would be more helpful, but, end
up being disappointed. However, there are regular, been stream gadgets that
can be used just as easily, with a little bit of understanding and
orientation.
My name is Payal, and I run a podcast on YouTube called Rasoi Ke Rahasya-
https://www.youtube.com/c/RasoiKeRahasya

If you understand Hindi, and can follow this, I have put together very
detailed information about orientation to everything in the kitchen, and
also equipment that can be used by us excessively.
All one needs, is a little working around the gadgets, and you are good to
go. In case I can be of any more help, please don't hesitate to write back
to me.
Payal for a beginner.

2021-11-14 Thread sachin patel
Thanks for the inputs guys, these are much appreciated.

@Mohib, just started learning cooking, so anything which can help me
prepare basic Indian vegetarian dishes accessibly would be of immense
help. Thought, connected appliances perhaps would be easier to
monitor, hence was looking for them. However, it seems, they are not
available here, so any device which can meet my above said purpose
would be fine.

@Pranav, thanks for the links, will check them out.

[AI] Madras HC installs Braille printer to provide judgment copies to the visually challenged

2021-11-14 Thread Minar Singh
Madras HC installs Braille printer to provide judgment copies to the
visually challenged
The first Division Bench had also insisted upon appointing
interpreters proficient in interacting with those with speech and
hearing difficulties.

The Madras High Court has installed a Braille printer at its principal
seat in Chennai for providing judgment and order copies to visually
challenged lawyers and litigants.
Issuing a notification on instructions from Chief Justice Sanjib
Banerjee, Registrar General P. Dhanapal said the printer would be put
to use from Monday.
The notification states that the facility had been created to
facilitate access to justice and to comply with the Rights of Persons
with Disabilities Act of 2016.
Passing interim orders on a case filed by advocate L. Muruganantham,
the court had in April 2017 impressed upon making its campus more
disabled friendly.
The then first Division Bench of Chief Justice Indira Banerjee (now a
Supreme Court judge) and Justice M. Sundar wanted to go beyond
providing ramps.
The judges wanted courts to be provided with Braille printers so that
all necessary documents could be provided in readable format to the
visually challenged.
The Bench had also insisted upon appointing interpreters proficient in
interacting with those with speech and hearing difficulties.

RE: [AI] INCOME TAX E-FILING PORTAL HAS NOW BECOME INACCESSIBLE

1. The site is not at all accessible using the virtual cursor, it is
partially accessible by turning the virtual cursor off but not every job can be
performed without the virtual cursor.
2. Even when the site was fairly accessible about a few months back, some
of the things, like, logout button, selecting the assessment year, could not be
located easily and one had to play around with increasing/decreasing the zoom
on the webpage.
3. It is not possible all the time to locate the login link on the main
website.
4. Some of the items on the pre-logging page keep refreshing so fast that
one has to put such a hard work to be able to locate them, finding items has
really turned out to be equivalent to playing a mindful game!

Thanks Kanchan and others.

Urgent

I am sending the Notice today. Please help me with points on how the site is
not accessible. Give as much detail as possible in point form.

Every time Infy handles a website-it becomes inaccessible.

Yes sir we need to do something collectively in order to make site accessible,
I am ready if we can do any concrete action, however, still don't know from
where to start

Hello accessindia,

The new portal of incometax e-filing website has now become inaccessible. it is
accessible till login page upto filling USER ID and Password. Afterwards in
virtual cursore it is completely inaccessible and on pc cursore only links and
buttons are to be spoken.

It is very unfortunate that Leading NGOs in big cities are not at all
interested on website accessibility and also we are individually taking no
interest to start joint movement. Just we are writing mails in the group and
sometimes file a petition on change.org which is no purpose to us.
