Today the picture has changed and to a large extent, persons with
intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities (IDD)* live their
entire lives in the community. They are included into schools, colleges,
workplaces, recreational activities, and other activities. As society has
evolved, we also have come to recognize that adults with IDD should be able
to make decisions to the greatest extent of their abilities. Freedom to
make decisions is a core human right, fundamental to personal autonomy and
self-determination.



But when it comes to sex, sexuality and relationships, challenges remain.
Many people—including parents and caregivers—still hold stereotypes about
the sexuality of this population.



This National Workshop on Sexual Self Advocacy for Persons with IDD

*Intellectual disability (ID)
,
is a condition characterised by significant limitations both in
intellectual functioning (reasoning, learning, problem-solving) and in
adaptive behaviour which covers a range of every day, social and practical
skills, including—
(a) “specific learning disabilities” means a heterogeneous group of
conditions wherein there is a the deficit in processing language, spoken or
written, that may manifest itself as a difficulty to comprehend, speak,
read, write, spell, or do mathematical calculations and including such
conditions as perceptual disabilities, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia,
dyspraxia and developmental aphasia;
(b) “autism spectrum disorder” means a neuro-developmental condition
typically appearing in the first three years of life that significantly
affects a person’s ability to communicate, understand relationships and
relate to others, and is frequently associated with unusual or
stereotypical rituals or behaviours. (ref. RPD ACT 2106)

Developmental Disabilities (DD), are covered under the National Trust Act
for the Welfare of persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual
disability (ID) (formally known as Mental Retardation), and Multiple
Disabilities. These are a group of lifelong conditions that emerge during
the developmental period and result in some level of functional limitation
in learning, language, communication, cognition, behaviour, socialization,
or mobility. The most common DD conditions are intellectual disability,
Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, fetal alcohol
syndrome, fragile X syndrome, Multiple Disabilities (more than one of the
above-specified disabilities) including deaf blindness which means a
condition in which a person may have a combination of hearing and visual
impairments causing severe communication, developmental, and educational
problems.

Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD)- the acronym “IDD” is
used to describe a group that includes either people with both ID and
another DD or a group that includes people with ID or another DD. The
support that people with IDD need to meet their goals varies in intensity
from intermittent to pervasive.

Please note that Gmail has stopped supporting third party applications if you 
have not enabled your two step verification for your Gmail sign in. Once you 
enable your two step verification, you can access your account from outlook in 
IMAP format, however, if you stick to POP format, you then would require to 
create an app password from the security page of your google account settings.

microsoft authenticator app in your mobile for  generating OTP for

Agree with ajay but there are a few affordable watches too, on the 
Android side at least and we do not yet know the cost of this product so 
debating its affordability is perhaps too early. On the other side, Asif 
sir is also right; Stakeholder should be consulted prior to 
understanding problem statement and reaching for a solution.

NEW DELHI: Around 71 per cent of over 11.68 lakh government and
government-aided schools across the country have been made
barrier-free with provisions of ramps, handrails and accessible
toilets for children with disabilities, as per data collected under
the Accessible India Campaign.Data available with the department of
empowerment of persons with disability of the ministry of social
justice shows that as far as transport is concerned while 35
international airports and 55 domestic have been provided with the
features of accessibility, road transport remains an area of concern
with just 29.2 per cent (42,785) buses made partially accessible and a
mere 5.7% (8,443) made fully accessible. As far as railways is
concerned 709 A1, A and B category railway stations have been made
accessible and 3,714 other railway stations are partly accessible.

Board — the apex national-level consultative and advisory body on
disability matters under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act
2016. The Union minister for social justice heads the CAB.“During the
last meeting held in November 2020, CAB recommended extending the
timeline of AIC up to June 2022 for public buildings. According to the
ministry of social justice and empowerment, any decision to extend the
AIC beyond June 14 will be taken by the CAB, which will review the
status reports of states and other ministries on delivering on
targets.Under this campaign, grants are given to states/UTs to conduct
accessibility audits and making only the identified public
places/infrastructure fully accessible in built-up environment and
making the identified states'/UT's websites accessible.
