RE: [AI] Smart vision glasses feedback?

2022-09-13 Thread 'PAUL MUDDHA' via AccessIndia
The smart glasses are not worth buying.
AI in our mobile phone reads better and quick.
I have given them the feedback as the team wanted to sponsor 40 such glasses to
our students.

Hi,
When you have internet connection, searching the meaning on Google is
the best option. When personal internet connection was not so
affordable, I had used a dictionary named "Word Web" on laptop.
However, I am not sure whether it is still available for download.
Also, I am not aware of any accessible offline dictionary app for
android.

Hi Friends,
Greetings of the day...
Writing here after a long span...
I'm with a request for an accessible dictionary to use both in my
laptop as well as android mobiles which would make us know meanings of
the words on PDF or while surfing on net.
I want it to be so as the 'synonym' option in word documents in MS
word which pops on right click after selecting a word.

If there is no such app then please suggest some good accessible
dictionary with no adds or cliches...
Thanking you...

Re: [AI] KANGKAN KALITA reports in the TOI today: 'Why 19 members of this Assam family are blind'

2022-09-13 Thread Ajay Minocha
Hi,

I think one needs to separate the process of marriage and having their
own biological offspring.
One can get married to a disabled/ non-disabled, sighted/ blind
partner etc. but life doesn't run on emotions/ philosophy alone. I
think it is perfectly fine so long as two people are comfortable
marrying each other despite their inherent genetic conditions but
going for their own biological offspring in such cases is a very
selfish decision.
It not only puts the child at a higher risk of disability without
their consent but also makes the future generations susceptible to the
conditions in which they actually had no say at all.
Can't help but respect the couples with genetic conditions who choose
to adopt a child!

Cheers,
Ajay

Re: [AI] accessible dictionary regds,

2022-09-13 Thread Harshit Lohia
Hi,
When you have internet connection, searching the meaning on Google is
the best option. When personal internet connection was not so
affordable, I had used a dictionary named "Word Web" on laptop.
However, I am not sure whether it is still available for download.
Also, I am not aware of any accessible offline dictionary app for
android.

[AI] accessible dictionary regds,

2022-09-13 Thread sampath raj rao
Hi Friends,
Greetings of the day...

2022-09-13 Thread anirudh rao
we need just not to think about the cousin marriages but also the
genetic spectrum as a whole.
are impairments more in occurrence where the people with the same
disabilities are life partners?
say we have many friends who are blind and have their life partners blind.
although I do not have any study to quote, the case is true if we
generally observe.
these discussions must be rationally made without the place for any
offending and an open mentality.
