I also have same impression of their vurst service support. But now
what is prompt that you have to ask them to change the keyboard, if
they are telling u that its not covered under guarantee then they are
escaping their liability. Mine CD drive was creating the problem and I

I would like to to suggest you to lauj a complaint simply with the
issue and wait for their reply. Keep the name of the person and
complaint with you which can be followed up.
Dragging them into consumer foram is better idea but it will take time
and energy.

How come all these banks are not allowing us to have such things we
are suppose to get as per the RBI?
I am having an acount in Fedral bank and they are giving all what we
are suppose to get like ATM card cheque book and all other facilities
including net banking.
The only thing you have to do is to ask them to creat an acount in
Yuva mithra acount for you.
It is a special acount for the Visually impaired.
It is a 0 balance acount activation.
Check it out with them.
If they say that they wont give you atm card or any other facilities
then write me off the list
I'll check it out with them.
If it something to do with your own branch office then i'll see if
anyone can do something or else you may have to talk with your branch
manager.

Prasanna Kumar Pincha
New Delhi, Feb. 19: He hates words such as handicapped and
differently abled being mindlessly bandied about in these
politically correct times. He would rather be simply called the
blind gentleman.

Prasanna Kumar Pincha, the newly appointed chief commissioner for
persons with disability under the social justice ministry, was born
just that - blind, as he puts it. The first person with disability
to sit in the chair, Pincha says such words are a creation of a
hypocritical society.

Can you tell me any two persons who are similarly able? I say
wherever necessary and relevant you can call me a blind gentleman.
That I am blind is a fact and it is part of the diversity of mankind,
he says.

Founding principal of Jorhat Blind School, Pincha was appointed to the
secretary-rank post when he was serving as a special rapporteur
(persons with disabilities) of the National Human Rights Commission.
Not that there weren't roadblocks - a senior contender had written to
the government opposing his appointment because he was blind.

But Pincha now brings hope to the disabled millions who are awaiting a
new disability law. A panel of experts tasked with drawing up the law
has sought his opinion on the draft legislation.

The biggest problem a disabled person faces is attitudinal. People
shouldn't equate one's disability with inability - this makes the
person believe that he or she is only capable of being a passive
recipient of benefits. There is a deeply entrenched belief in our
society that a disabled person needs charity and pity. This needs to
change, and I have devoted my life to this cause.

A self-sufficient man, Pincha's laptop and cellphone read out his
messages and email, thanks to technology. I believe that nothing
under the sun is more authentic than your own experience. When I was
young, when guests came over, they asked my siblings about a variety
of things - education, sports and movies. But they asked me only to
sing, as if that was the only thing I was good at. I was a good singer
but I never pursued it, said Pincha, with a shrug.

I knew I had to be much more than that. I studied in a blind school
in Calcutta, then did my LLB in Assam, where I used to record my
lectures on tapes, hear them and then re-record on those tapes since
they were expensive.

At 60, Pincha has over 30 years' experience with the government and
non-government sectors. He says he is working towards a world where
every person with disability would lead a productive life of honour
and dignity.

Certain amendments are needed in the Constitution before a law can be
passed on disability issues. I hear complaints of rights violations
and discrimination in my courtroom every day and my duty is to see
that the rights of persons with disability are safeguarded, says
Pincha.

Pincha says his office is severely short-staffed and there is a huge
backlog of cases. A big problem is that only 13 states have a
full-time commissioner with independent charge for persons with
disability. In the others, the secretary of social welfare has
additional charge of the department.

It is imperative that a disabled person is chosen as one of the 12
members nominated to the Rajya Sabha, he says.

PINCHA'S DEMANDS

The Constitution must include disability as a prohibitive ground of
discrimination under Article 15

The Constitution should have provision for reservation in jobs in
public institutions for persons with disability

The Constitution should recognise sign language as a language and
Braille as a script

The word handicap should be replaced with the words persons with
disability in the Constitution

There should be provision for reserving seats for persons with
disability in Parliament, legislatures and local self-governance
institutions

Disability should be brought under the concurrent list.

Hello I am bijorne from Chennai.

I tried to to creat an account in i.o.b bank.

But the bank manager was told me we won't give atm card but you can creat an
account in this bank. If you want to widraw the money you have to come
directly.

After that I tried to create an joined account in the same branch the
manager was told me the same thing.

But now I was create a joined account with my mother another branch in
i.o.b. bank.

In that bank manager also did not give atm card first after some days only
he was accepted to give an atm card. But he did not give separate account.

But I want to create individual account.

Is there any solusion in this problem?

And another thing is if we write any bank exams they are asking the scribes
below 60 persentage in marks 10th standad.

But now a days there is no persons below 60 persentage in 10th standad.

In every exams they are asking the same criteria is there any solusion in
this problem?

Please send me some ideas about these 2 problems.

A group of researchers at Georgia Tech have created a new piece of
software called BrailleTouch that allows users to type on a smartphone
without looking at the screen. It takes advantage of gestures and
multitouch interaction to support a chorded typing system that is
modeled after Braille keyboards.

A group of visually impaired test subjects using the application on an
iPhone were reportedly able to type at up to 32 words per minute with
92 percent accuracy. This speed is said to be considerably faster than
what has previously been achieved with other eyes-free text input
prototypes.

The researchers contend that the chorded typing system used by
BrailleTouch is easy to learn and that it could potentially be useful
to a broader audience, including sighted users who want to be able to
type on their phone without looking. The interface has six dots, three
on each side of the screen. The user holds the phone in landscape
orientation with the screen facing away from them and types by tapping
the dots.

Research has shown that chorded, or gesture-based, texting is a
viable solution for eyes-free written communication in the future,
making obsolete the need for users to look at their devices while
inputting text on them, the project's lead researcher, Mario Romero,
told is in a statement.

The researchers intend to distribute the program under an open source
software license. They are also working on ports to other platforms,
including Android. For additional details about the software, you can

 shall be read out in the same language, auto detection of language and
 the
 necessary TTS shall be included.(at the moment the idea is toyed around
 Hindi / Marathi / Punjabi/ Guajarati). It means that you open two web
 pages
 the first one in English and the next page in Hindi, the first page
shall
 be
 rendered to the user in English and the second one in Hindi, without the
 need of changing any setting by the user.





 Office Suite:- the difference between the open office suite offering the
 menus in local language and this overlay is that all of the menus are
 voiced
 out and hence the need of screen reader is not required. when you click
 File(in local language) all the options are read out including
assistance
 to
 navigate as jaws would do. And all the actions of the resulting click
 shall
 be performed as standard actions of MS Office.



 Windows Explorer:

 Directory listing, searching folders, all menus that are used for
 performing
 actions remain as it is however the voicing out shall be in local
 language.



 It is also little difficult here to describe everything in a mail, also
I
 am
 not intending to write a spec document encouraging debate, it is just an
 idea(not from the software's point of view as snippets to do such a
thing
 are in place) and hence would like to seek if this kind of a overlay

 address any help to users in particular. In a nut shell it's an overlay
