Re: [AI] UDID portal-audio captcha status

2019-04-08 Thread Mohith BP
Hi,

Audio CAPTCHA is not a solution. It is better to provide OTP option.
I think CAPTCHA should not be used for logging in as the users will be
verified during sign-up process.

ECI also has inaccessible CAPTCHA and tweating to ECI spokesperson did
not yield any response.

After getting fed up in telling Mr. Rao that the portal had a captcha, I
 had
filed RTI. Seems they have addressed the issue by providing audio
 captcha
which still leaves deaf-blind people behind.

Request people to test and confirm.

Hi,

Select the file with Windows explorer and presss Shift + Application
or Shift + F10.
Press enter on Copy as Path 'A' is the hot key.
Open Brows dialog in gmail and just press Ctrl + V to paste the path
you copied on Name edit box and press enter.
This adds the file as attachment.

[AI] User review requested: RAY L5

2017-02-07 Thread Mohith BP
Hi List,

My apoligies to write the topic in the main AccessIndia as somehow I
am not able to post requests into Mobile Mailing List.
I would like to know the user review on the below phone by RAY Vision
and Qualcomm.
http://project-ray.com/products/ray-l5-flip-phone-for-blind

Currently the phone runs on Android 5.11 and the page claims that the
phone is specially made for people with vision impairment.

I would like to know specifically the following things if one has used it:
1. Do all the functionalities operable with the keyboard (without
using touch or touch gestures)?
2. Does the phone supports installation of regular android apps from
the app store (the phone claims to have only 256 MB of internal
memory)?

Thanks & Regards,
Mohith B. P.

Re: [AI] Any accessibility features in new Rs. 500 and Rs. 2000 currency notes?

2016-11-16 Thread Mohith BP
Hi Team,

The new Rs. 2000 note has 7 tactile lines on the side. Old Rs. 500 had
5 lines and old 1000 note had 6 lines.
The tactile lines on the new 2000 note is not thicker and the gap
between the lines is very minimal which makes it hard to recognize.
However the raised lines on the old 500 and 1000 notes was much
better.

Please Note: This is not braille. It is a raised (tactile) lines which
can be touch and felt by anyone who does not know braille as well.

We need to give feedback to RBI to make it better. I have tweeted to
PMOIndia and RBI. However, there is no response yet.

Thanks & Regards,
Mohith B. P.

Friends... even I'm also carrying a couple of Rs2000 Note. and for
the identification, it carries A minute Oval shape on the extreme
right corner of it at the top!!
I also noticed another feature that the lines which are written above
and at the Left hand side, it is engraved properly so that we can
touch it quickly with an ease!!

Re: [AI] Tips for filling disability ID online form

2016-10-25 Thread Mohith BP
Hi,

The disability certificate issued by one state is not valid for another state.
Most of the job applications require the disability certificate in the
format of their own and the same need to be filled by the competent
authority. One can imagine the hardship of a person with vision
impairment go through while applying for different jobs.
At least this card is aimed as a national disability certificate and
this should be made default proof of disability for education,
employment and all other purpose.

This indeed a first step in the right direction.

2016-10-04 Thread Mohith BP
Hi,
The coins have become a great challenge. However, the new notes are
being printed with the raised lines which can be touched and felt. I
get to use few Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes.

Thanks & Regards,

Re: [AI] Removing line breaks

2016-08-23 Thread Mohith BP
Hi,

Please find the below steps:

1. Always perform paste special while doing copy paste from the web page
a. Press Ctrl+Alt+V and select “Unformatted Text”
This helps to keep the consistency of the formatting with the
document. However, this will not remove the blank lines created.
Follow the below find and replace method to quickly replace
unnecessary blank lines.
1. Open Find and Replace by pressing Ctrl+H
2. Type “^p^p” without quotes in the Find What edit box. Note: ^
symbol is Shift + 6 and the ‘p’ is lower case.
3. Type “^p” in the “Replace with” edit box without quotes.
4. Press enter on “Replace All” button or press “Alt + A”
5. Continue activating the “Replace All” button till you get the
message 0 replacements made or 1 replacement made.

This removes the unnecessary blank lines. You may have to join the
broken lines if any.
