2015-02-19 Thread Neha Agarwal
HI There,

I haven't replyed for cross commenting. So please stop sharing the guidelines.
People who are sensable and understanding will take the point
positively, rest up to there mindsets.
This piece of information could also be gathered by little googling or
discussing in there friend circle. The info requested is not visually
impaired specific, this is a common to all. A sighted person can also
not be comfortable with the traditional shavers and would search for
the better option. That doesn't mean you can post a silly query to the
mailing lists and ask, a store person could have also helped if
googling bores people.
This post is something like a girl requesting to group of people to
suggest should I use a liquid lipstic or a stick one!
4 yrs.back, when I joined the list posts were very interesting and
informative, but now I hardly see any. This type of queries were
hardly seen and postings were much better. Now day by day it's going
down.

[AI] Sharing the place markers in IE with other JAWS users

2014-03-09 Thread Neha Agarwal
HI list members,

Many of you might know the method of sharing place markers marked in
IE with other JAWS users, Simultaneously many doesn't know about it.
So, sharing the same.

 Sharing PlaceMarkers

PlaceMarkers remain in place even when you shut down JAWS and come
back again. You can also share PlaceMarkers with other JAWS users. The
PlaceMarkers are stored in the Settings\Enu\PlaceMarkers folder for
JAWS 5 and later. The file name will be the URL of the Web page
followed by the file extension PMI.

JAWS Tip: If you are using JAWS 5.1 or later, you can use Settings
Packager to share your PlaceMarkers. For more information on this
program, see the module on using Settings Packager later in Surf's Up.

Using Settings Packager

To begin using Settings Packager, open the Start menu, go to the JAWS
program group, open the Tools submenu and choose Settings Packager.
The Settings Packager dialog box contains two lists. The Current
Settings list shows all of your current custom speech and sound
schemes, domains and pages with assigned PlaceMarkers, and Web sites
with personalized verbosity settings. Schemes included with JAWS that
you have not modified are not shown in this list. The Packaged
Settings list shows settings that you are exporting or, if you opened
a ZIP file created with Settings Packager, shows settings you can
import.

NOTE: You can also press INSERT+F2 and choose Settings Packager from
the list of JAWS managers.

To view the details of any item in the Current Settings list, select
it and then press ALT+C to activate the Current Settings Details
button. To view the details of any setting in the Packaged Settings
list, select the setting and then press ALT+P to activate the Packaged
Settings Details button.

TIP: For more information on Settings Packager, start Settings
Packager, open the Help menu and choose Help Topics. These procedures
are described in detail there.
