I rmember there is a circular regarding this. I think it is for state
level. as I have noticed that some of my friends are taking advantage of
this facility the circular says you iether can report half an hour before
or go half an hour early. we had some aurthopedically disabled in my company
they were taking the advantage of this facillity though my company did not

hello,
even i am of the same opinion that no such kind of relaxation or
exemptions to be considered which compromises or affect on the
productivity of the organisation. since i myself is not in favor of
such unreasonable provisions, i have already replied about not having
existence of such GR in my knowledge. still I recall that there was
similar discussions on the list while commenting on one of the thread
in which this relaxation was discussed.

so if anyone aware of it, kindly inform.

Hello All
Saksham always tries to work towards the availability of assistive
devices
at the door step of the end-users. Over the past few years, we have
created

several extension counters in various parts of country where products are
available at the same cost at which they are available at our main
branch
in New Delhi. As our Next step, we have joined hands with V-Mart, one
of
the leading retail chain from Northern India having presence in 107
cities

with its 124 stores . We along with V Mart have identified the following
locations where assistive devices are made available at same price at
which

they are available at New Delhi. List of stores along with address and
contact details are as follow. We intend to increase the list of number
of

stores over the period of time depending on the demands and end-user

Subject: [AI] (AI) Assistance needed for editing scanned books

Hi all
Like most on this list I also get my study material scanned to
facilitate my academics. Although scanning is not a major difficulty
the output is far from satisfactory especially in case of concise
notes of tution classes due to presence of watermark. Moreover there
is no organization in Nagpur which scans and edits books in real time
( at least a fortnight). I have sent my books to centers like NAB
Delhi and LV Prasad Hyderabad but have not gone any satisfactory
service. Would like to know of any organization which could assist in
this end.
Would also appreciate if someone could share any concise study
material ( apart from CS module) on Company Law and Corporate
Restructuring which are subjects of first module in CS Professional.
Best
Turab

For general computing, even the inbuilt Microsoft Security Essential
(presently known as Microsoft Defender with Win10) is also quite useful
and is free. If you heavily rely on lot of online transactions and often
download stuff from unknown sources, then any of the paid softwares like
Quickheel, Aveera, Avast, AVG etc. are to look for.

Gmail currently doesn’t have this feature. However, you can copy the
content and then paste it in to WhatsApp. On another note, there is a
small utility which allows us to copy text to our phone from PC with just
a keystroke. This is called Alt-C and is available for Android and PC.
However, both devices should be connected to internet in order to use this
utility.
Below is the playstore link and link for PC app followed by the
description of the app:
Playstorelink:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=za.co.canobakedbeans.instacopy

Get the PC app here: http://www.altcopy.net/#download
Description:
Alt-C is an app that makes getting text from your PC to any of your smart
devices, and from your Smart device to your PC, extremely easy.
Copy text from your PC to your Smart device's clipboard, and Paste text
from your device's clipboard to your PC, instantly! All you need is the PC
application, and the Android application on your device. No sign-in is
required. (You do need to be signed in to your Google Account on your
device since the application uses Google Cloud Messaging). Configure Alt-C
to open specific types of text in various applications. Open URLs in your
Web Browser, Email addresses in your email app, GPS co-ordinates in your
Maps app, Phone Numbers in the Dialer and Text in your favourite note
taking application. Configure your Alt-C Auto Launch experience under
Settings! (ALL Text is parsed on the device itself)

1. Download this app and the PC app.
2. Run the PC app, and open the app on your device and complete the quick
syncing process.

3. Start copying.

Copying to your Smart Device from your PC:
Highlight some text on your PC, Press the Copy Hotkey (Alt + C is the
default) The text will arrive on your device's clipboard.

Pasting from your Smart Device to your PC:
Select some text on your Smart Device and copy it. Press the Paste Hotkey
on your PC (Alt + V is the default). The text will arrive on your PC's
clipboard and be automatically pasted.

Alt-C doesn't require your smart device and your PC to be on the same
network, as long as both are connected to the internet - and you're logged
into your Google account on your device - you're good to go.
None of your data is stored on our servers at all - this includes data
that identifies your device and PC as well as any text that is copied. All
data is transferred via SSL to keep it secure.

Hi Parimala Ma'am,
In addition, as alternatives, you could also use Whatsapp Web in a web
browser on your computer not only to copy text but to fully use
Whatsapp on your computer. I frequently use Whatsapp Web to
participate on certain technological and other general Whatsapp
groups.
Apart from that, you could install an e-mail client on Android which
has a copy mail feature, (e.g. AquaMail), mail the required text
information to your own e-mail address, open it and copy it on your
phone's e-mail client and paste it in Whatsapp, though that would
branch out as a mobile related discussion now...
Thanks.

Gmail currently doesn’t have this feature. However, you can copy the
content and then paste it in to WhatsApp. On another note, there is a
small utility which allows us to copy text to our phone from PC with
just

a keystroke. This is called Alt-C and is available for Android and PC.
However, both devices should be connected to internet in order to use
this

utility.
Below is the playstore link and link for PC app followed by the
description of the app:
Playstorelink:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=za.co.canobakedbeans.instacopy
Get the PC app here: http://www.altcopy.net/#download
Description:
Alt-C is an app that makes getting text from your PC to any of your
smart

devices, and from your Smart device to your PC, extremely easy.
Copy text from your PC to your Smart device's clipboard, and Paste text
from your device's clipboard to your PC, instantly! All you need is the
PC

application, and the Android application on your device. No sign-in is
required. (You do need to be signed in to your Google Account on your
device since the application uses Google Cloud Messaging). Configure
Alt-C

to open specific types of text in various applications. Open URLs in
your

Web Browser, Email addresses in your email app, GPS co-ordinates in your
Maps app, Phone Numbers in the Dialer and Text in your favourite note
taking application. Configure your Alt-C Auto Launch experience under
Settings! (ALL Text is parsed on the device itself)

1. Download this app and the PC app.
2. Run the PC app, and open the app on your device and complete the
quick

syncing process.

Press the Paste
Hotkey

on your PC (Alt + V is the default). The text will arrive on your PC's
clipboard and be automatically pasted.

Alt-C doesn't require your smart device and your PC to be on the same
network, as long as both are connected to the internet - and you're
logged

into your Google account on your device - you're good to go.
None of your data is stored on our servers at all - this includes data
that identifies your device and PC as well as any text that is copied.
All

data is transferred via SSL to keep it secure.

Congratulations Shweta, Its good to read about your amazing feet in
the HT Today. Way to go! copying this report to the JNUVision group
and Access India.
http://www.hindustantimes.com/india/visually-challenged-girl-tops-pg-course-without-braille-aid/story-kt8hGT86KDgMAuyL07C0rK.html

A visually challenged Jharkhand girl has topped a postgraduate degree
course in Ranchi university and even cleared the National Eligibility
Test (NET), all without the aid Braille.

Currently pursuing an MPhil at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New
Delhi, 27-year-old Sweta Mandal secured a gold medal in her masters in
human rights by using software that converts text to speech.

“I listened to the journals and textbooks. It helped me understand my
subjects,” she said.

Side effects from a radiation treatment for a brain tumour robbed
Sweta of her vision when in class 10. Despite the ailment, she managed
to secure 72% in her board exams by listening to recordings her
parents had made of her lessons. A scribe helped her write her
answers.

“Since I wasn’t a born blind, I could not learn Braille that well. My
parents were the greatest support for me. They gave me the courage to
pursue higher studies,” said Sweta, who will be conferred the gold
medal for 2011-13 by Jharkhand Governor Droupadi Murmu at the Ranchi
university’s convocation ceremony this Wednesday in which toppers from
2013 to 2015 will be felicitated.

Mandal completed her schooling from DAV Chaibasa, graduated from the
National Institute of Open School with 65% in higher secondary and
scored 65% in sociology from IGNOU
