[AI] Jaws strange problem
Hello friends, I have lenovo G5080 laptop and from last few months i am facing a strange problem My jaws starts speaking a particular character like "hyphen sign" at a very fast pace and it happens for some period of time and it stops. Initially, i thought it is virus hence i formatted my laptop. Almost 1 month it was working fine but today again i saw the signs of the old problem wherein jaws started speaking --- --- and it happend for quite a period of time and then it stopped. Hi friends and all the experties on the list. Very good evening to all. I have created an mp3 file with OpenBook reader. It is playing without any problem in WMP but when I played it with Wenamp I am unable to hear all the words completely. I noticed that it is chopping down the initial part of all the words. could you please elaborate it bit more? words are being skipping during opening file or during fast-forwarding/rewinding. there is a setting in winamp which reduces and increases seek time. you can reduce it by your convenience. no no, I did not do anything like revind or forwarding. I just tried to play simply. I noticed that it is not announcing the words in correct way. I noticed that words are mingling and chopped down. I observed the same with many words in a regular interval. Like Kalpana is pronunced as Alpna. October is like Oc. Devi is like Evi. and so on. okay, is there any setting in open book to save your MP3 file in 128 kbps bit rate? if yes, then save your future mp3s in 128 kbps bit rate or higher by changing mp3 saving options in open book. yes, open your file in goldwave and choose save as dialog, and in the file types combo box, select mpg audio *.mp3 as a file type, now press tab key to navigate on atributes. now press down aero and select 128 kbps, stereo, 44100 khz as a minimum saving criteria. [AI] A strange problem with Excel 2003
Hello all, I have been having a strange problem with Excel 2003 since switching to Dell XPS15 . I am unable to use the arrow keys to move between cells in an Excel file. The up and down arrow keys work, but not the left and right arrow keys. I uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2003 today, but that did not resolve the problem. The problem may have to do either with an obscure key configuration or the scroll lock according to posts on online forums. However, I am unable to locate the scroll lock key on my laptop. Has anyone here with a laptop encountered a similar problem? If yes, is there a solution? Many thanks. [AI] A strange problem with a system
Dear all, From last 2 to 3 days, I am facing a strange issue with one of PC in our institute. Whenever I boot the machine, it opens many windows of internet explorer. I thought that it may be a virus, I formatted whole system and re install the OS. But still the problem was there. So I councelt with my engineer. He told me to remove all the partitions of harddisk. I also tried to do so and re-install the machine again. But still the issue is there. I am unable to understand that how to solve this strange problem. Please throw some light on it. hi folks, Yesterday I received an E mail with the subject we can help. But since I had no idea about the sender I did not want to open the mail and I tried to delete it. But, not only the shift delete command did not work but, For navigating to the other mails I had to first close the message with the alt f4 command also.Moreover when the mail is selected, it announces a path to the c drive. I have not the courage to open the mail since it is from an unknown source. Any solution to delete it? Hi Renuka You did a wise thing of not opening the mail. Try the simple del key or if that did not work, move it to the deleted folder and clear the delete folder There are nasty virsuses lurking for which solutions have yet not be fixed. Renuka, Please use the steps below to delete the message. 1. Once you are in your Inbox, move the cursor to the message which is directly above the mail that you wish to delete. 2. Use ctrl-down arrow to move down. Your cursor will now be on the mail you wish to delete. 3. Press control-space (space bar) to select that message. 4. Now hit shift-delete, and the message will be deleted. Perhaps it contains virus. Do not open it in outlook express or any other e-mail program that you are using. Go to your mail account directly via http and delete the e-mail with that subject line. Disconnect your computer from the network. Go to your e-mail program and click work off line. Now go to the folder containing that message and press just the delete key, not the shift delete key. Connect your computer with the network after these steps and select work offline checked and press enter. Now the message should be removed from the system. If this doesn't work, then let me know. [AI] a strange problem with JAWS
Folks: I have certain strange problems while using JAWS (5.0), particularly while reading E-mails. First of all, if the headline of a press release is mentioned in block letters, jaws doesn't understand that and repeatedly reads it as blank. Secondly, for reasons unclear to me, it reads the last portion of the mail, especially things like mobile phone numbers, e-mails and websites of the sending agencies in French. This causes a lot of problems as I need to select the particular portion. Do any of you know why this occurs?
