Re: [AI] Accessibility of payments app

2020-07-30 Thread Vaibhav Saraf
Hi, Probably this post will go off the topic but let me put it here.

Following is some information about UPI:

Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has been developed by The National
Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and regulated by Reserve Bank of India
(RBI). It was launched by NPCI on 11th April, 2016 by ex-RBI governor Shri
Raghuram Rajan.

It is available as an API (in easy terms a ready to use service provided
and managed by a third party), it is developed and maintained by a govt.
agency and under the regulation of RBI, we can raise a ticket with them.
Can we?

Thanks,
Vaibhav

Re: [AI] Accessibility of payments app

2020-07-30 Thread Vaibhav Saraf
Hi,

For me the Send button is announced as unlabelled, tried using Google pay,
phone pe and amazon pay. Amazon pay is also very accessible otherwise, only
thing is that one will need to swipe a lot as it has too many things on
each screen starting from navigation panel, alexa, cart, bla bla bla...

Rregarding the send and the backspace button I think it is something wrong
with the UPI interface itself which is consumed by all these payment apps.

Re: [AI] Accessibility of payments app

2020-07-30 Thread sampath raj rao
Hi Friends,
That's true with backspace & send buttons which seemed to be
unlabelled and the strange issue is that we cant label them using the
custom labeling option with talkback.
I personally feel Phone P is smoother than Google Pay as I feel
swiping on G-pay is to navigate is a little slow and struggling
especially during selecting names for transfer and so on but I don''t
feel this issue with Phone P.

Re: [AI] Accessibility of payments app

2020-07-30 Thread faiyaz attar
Yes, I am talking about android only.
when you enter your UPI Pin, there is a button wich appears to the
left side of 0, which performs your deletion task. but, when you use
this button, it shows unlabeled.
Note: I am talking about Phone Pay.
with Google Pay it works well.

Re: [AI] Accessibility of payments app

2020-07-29 Thread faiyaz attar
Hi,

I will not comment about PayTM as it is not that much Accessible at
all with compare to the other Apps.
My first recommendation is Google Pay then Phone Pay.
and yes, as Vaibhav said, when we use backspace key with phone Pay, it
shows unlabeled button.
Same Problem with send button too.

Re: [AI] Accessibility of payments app

2020-07-29 Thread Vaibhav Saraf
Hi,

I have used Google Pay and Phonepe. Google Pay is accessible but most of
the buttons on Phonepe specially the 'Send' button is unlabelled making it
a bad experience.

There is one peculiar thing i have noticed with the UPI interface on the
screen where we need to enter the UPI PIN, irrespective of the payment app,
the 'Backspace' button and 'OK' button are announced as unlabelled. Has
anyone else also experienced the same or is this an issue on phone level?

which payments app, Paytm , Google Pay or Phone Pay, is more
