Hi friends,
A big thanks to all those who responded to this thread.
My last question regarding this aftershokz bone conduction headphones is,
is it safe to use it for long periods of time, say for 2 or 3 hours at a
stretch?
in other words, Are there any side effects or cautions that we have to be
aware of while using these headphones for long periods of time?
As I mentioned my main purpose to use them will be for listening to long
lectures, audio books etc.
Thanks again,
Rishi

Of late, the Bluetooth connectivity with the IPhone has been flaky specially if
you have several apps trying to control volume of audio. The most problems I
have are with skype on the phone.

Even with this, I recommend these as much as I can. They are indispensable.

Re: [AI] Aftershokz wired headphones recommendation please...

2018-08-19 Thread Dipendra Manocha
I bought my wired aftershocks 3 years ago in 50 USD. They are working well and
I use them for my all the conference calls.

I do not need to take volume to maximum to listen. However, I am not in noisy
places specially when taking conference calls.

Since this is three years old, I am not sure if something has improved on noise
being reduced for people around. As of now, my headphone does release bit of
sound but that is very week for even a person sitting next to you.

Certainly a good option for long period of use in Indian conditions.

Thanks
Dipendra

Bhaiya- I use trekz air which is the lightest model. Cost around ₹13,800.

Unless you put it on full volume (which is unlikely at a workplace), the sound
doesn’t come out.

Bhaiya- I use trekz air which is the lightest model. Cost around ₹13,800.

Unless you put it on full volume (which is unlikely at a workplace), the sound
doesn’t come out.

Hi Vivek, Kartik, Prashant,other users,
Which model do you use of Aftershokz headphones?

From an earlier post from Harish Kotian, learn that unlike the regular
earphone/headphones, people sitting in close proximity can hear sounds from
aftershokz. Is it still true or there is an improvement in the technology? I am
looking at if I use it at work and colleagues sitting beside me if they
continuously hear some sound coming out of my headphone, it won't work.

Found the below link about AfterShhokz Bluetooth headphones improving
accessibility for blind as well as for some persons with hearing loss which
sounds very exciting.

[AI] Aftershokz wired headphones recommendation please...

2018-08-17 Thread सिंघल, विवेक
Dear Rishi,

Aftershock wired headset is a good product. I have been using it extensively
for last 3 years now. I have been using primarily for listening to audio books
and working on PC / laptop. I have never used it for music purpose. The best
part of the bone inductin headset is that it keeps your ears free for listening
to others while in a meeting. There are occasions (official telecons) when I
am plugging Aftershock in computer and the earphones in my Iphone and am able
to work in a fast manner as my hands are now free to work on keyboard. it feels
as if we have developed an additional set of ears ;)
No extra items are required to work with Aftershock. it comes with a battery
charger (similar to the one used for charging Android based mobile phones). I
had purchased the same from US (brought to India by a relative who was
travelling from US). Recently one of its earphone has developed some issue and
is partially working and I am planning to buy a new one.
While using it please take care that it should be properly worn and that its
speakers should not touch external ears. The sound generated is supposed to
be send to audio nerve via bone and not standard ear.
Please write back in case of any query, Shall be happy to answer the same.

Regards,
Vivek Singhal,

Re: [AI] Aftershokz wired headphones recommendation please...

2018-08-16 Thread Amar Jain
Rishi Bhaiya,

Go for it. It’s worth buying.

The Bluetooth ones do not have wiring provision. Since you want to buy for
audio books, consider wired ones, as Bluetooth ones provide 6 hours battery
life on continuous playback.

Look at Amazon India, and consider Trekz series. You do not need any other
accessories with it. And it is not really for music buffs. For our purpose, it
will do a good job. Do note that cable is not long as such.

Regards,
Amar Jain

[AI] Aftershokz wired headphones recommendation please...

2018-08-16 Thread Rishi Kewalramani
Hi Prashant, Amar and others,

Sometime ago you guys were mentioning about Aftershokz headphones.
I'm interested to buy one.
I want to buy the wired one.
So could you please let me know which model to buy exactly?
Is it available on amazon or any other website. Would really appreciate its
link.
And do I have to buy any accessory with it like any pads, or something.
If yes, would appreciate its link as well.

If you think the wireless bluetooth Aftershokzones are better, I dont mind
that as well.
do the wireless ones also have the option to use it with wire if incase the
battery runs out?

But my first preference is the wired one.
Just a small querry, my main purpose for using these headphones is to listen to
lectures and audio books and not for music. will I be able to listen to audio
books and lectures clearly through these bone conduction headphones?
Looking forward to your kind guidance,
Thanking you, Sincere regards,
Rishi
