Re: [AI] Android Tablet

2012-07-03 Thread SYED IMRAN
Whether the tablets are suitable for office work depends on what actually
constitutes the work each one of us do at our office. Hence you can't
generalise that the tablets would not be useful to perform office work. I
work in a financial firm and they have a dedicated team that resolves any
issues related to farsight logins using the devices like iPad, blackberry
playbook and phones via secure network. They have recently started to invite
volunteers from all over the technology division to address accessibility
challenges.

It is important to know why you want a tablet considering that you can do
much more on a netbook or the newer ultrabooks which are also light weight
and have long battery life.
If you have to do some office work then tablet may be a disappointment.
If you want to do some reading, web browsing and emailing then go for iPad.
It is definitely the best among tablets as of now.

The Netbooks or the ultrabooks are not as lightwaighted as tablets. And I'm
keen on non apple tablets because apple doesn't provide a USB port where I
can inseart a USB keyboard or a pen drive.
Besides, Apple products are not so affordable. And looking at how Android is
progressing, I'm quite sure we can expect great things in terms of
accessibility in Android.

 Hi Friends,

I also have a similar question.

I am considering buying an IPad, would want to know if anyone is using
 it?

On its accessability and its usability for office work and otherwise.

Apart from the above, would also like to know whether other Tabs
accessability including that of Google, Aser and such other lower
range Tabs in terms of their accessability and the voice output
quality of the screen reading software.

I am open to the idea of buying a lower cost Tabs as well.

 Would greatly appritiate your inputs.

 Thanks and warm regards,

 Rahul.
