Yes you are right. I followed the steps laid down by Satguru but to no benefit. 
It seems the web site is lacking in some standards meant for screen reader and 
add ons

it depends on the type of captcha you are presented with.
I have come across captchas where they do not have an image or an audio.
image describers would describe the image with some accuracy but, if
it is neither audio nor image, the problem persists.
the only way is to urge the website creators to go for accessible captchas.

Agree with Ishant; I too, use th is frequently and on IBPS also it
automatically solves the Captcha. Steps:

1. Open any website you think would have some image.

2. Focus on that image (Use G to move to the graphic).

3. Right click or use application to open the context menu.

4. Find the option "Get Image description from Google Submenu". Select
Always and restart the browser. From now on, wherever there is an image
on the webpage, Google would try to provide you with the description.

Please note that it may not be always acurit and may not be relied upon
for sensitive usage.

Hi Anshul,
Open google crome then press application key it is also known as right
click key is located to left side of your right control key press that
button and keep pressing down arrow until you here something like  get
image description from google then press enter on always option. hope
it works.

Have you not turned on the read image description option Google chrom?
because Chrome automatically solves out the capcha. Yesterday on the NSDL
website I have successfully made corrections in PAN card and there was also
a captcha which .automatically solved by Google Chrome

I am using NVDA to work through a portal of Govt of India relating to PF and 
pension. In the same, after filling all the fields, a captcha needs to be 
filled up. Can you help me to get any way through  which NVDA can read the
