without password. I don't want to show the users the data of this sheet.

Dear Apoorv,
Thank you for your quick step by step guidance. It's very helpful.
I have one more query as follows:
I have created names in name manager in a workbook. I have created a
programme and want to hide the 'information' sheet only to avoide any
problem of data change by anyone else except me. But I don't want to
protect other sheets in that workbook. How to do this?
I want to use those names in other workbooks on my computer without
creating it in each workbook. How can I use those names in another
workbook? I want to avoide the laborious job of creating names in each
workbook.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Hello,

Let me break my reply in 2 parts. 1) inserting comments, and 2) reading
comments:

1) Inserting comments

Step 1: go to the cell where you wish to insert comment

Step 2: press APPLICATION key on your keyboard to bring up the application
menu. If you don't have a dedicated applications key, press SHIFT + F10.

Step 3: go down the menu till you find the "Insert Comment" option and
press

ENTER

Step 4: Type your comment and press ESCAPE

2) Reading Comments in Excel

Step 1: Go to the JAWS Quick Setting - Excel dialog box by pressing INSERT
+

V.

Step 2: type "comment" in the edit box and go down till you find "Comment
detection"

Step 3: Press F6 and check the box for turning the comment detection on
and

press ESCAPE. Checking this option will make JAWS alert you whenever the
active cell has a comment.

Step 4: To get a list of cells in the worksheet containing comments, press
CTRL+SHIFT+APOSTROPHE. This will bring up a dialog box which will contain
a

list of all cells containing comments.

Step 6: If you are in a cell containing comments and you wish to read the
comment, press ALT+SHIFT+APOSTROPHE.

Hope this helps.

Apoorv
