Hello Tanya,
we don't have 2007 shortcut key in 2003 for hiding and unhiding rows
or columns. so to perform in 2003, can use the above methods said by
our mates.
just for your reference the 2007 shortcut keys :
ctrl+9 Hides the selected rows.
ctrl+0 Hides the selected columns.
ctrl+shift+( Unhides any hidden rows within the selection.
ctrl+shift+) Unhides any hidden columns within the selection.
this shortcut key is applicable in excel 2010 and in 2011 in MAC os.

[AI] doubt in Excel with Jaws

2010-05-03 Thread Vamshi. G
Dear friends,

Is there any option in Jaws which makes Jaws announce the column
heading instead of the cell address when the cursor moves to a
particular cell in excel?

I have given column headings from 1 to 180 starting from A1. Now,
when I go to A4, Jaws should say 1 instead of A4.

Required guidance urgently.

Re: [AI] doubt in Excel with Jaws

2010-05-03 Thread Manish Agrawal
alt +ctrl +insert + c marks the values in a row as column headers
alt + ctrl + insert + r marks the values in a row as row headers.

So, in your case, go to the A1 cell and press alt + ctrl + insert + c and
then when you move from b4 to a4, the value in the cell A1 will be spoken as
the heading in a different pitch before the contents of the A4 cell are
spoken.

 Dear friends,

I have to deal with some numerical data in excel for my PhD work. The
numbers run into lakhs and crores. When I'm using the addition
formula, Jaws is only saying number name instead of the sum of the
 range.

What should I do to make Jaws say the exact figure instead of number
 name.

[AI] Doubt in Excel

2009-05-08 Thread Vamshi. G
Hi friends

Is there any function in MS Excel which converts numbers in figures into words?
For example, when I type 1200, it should be converted as one thousand
and two hundred.
Awaiting replies.

Hi,

As far my knowledge goes, there isn't such a function in Excel. I
recall of writing a function in VB to achieve the functionality. If
needed, I can check for it on my personal laptop and forward you an
.exe with the desired functionality.
