Dear Vivek, There is no money nor glory in this work so I suspect that any organisation will stand up for the cause. Let this mail be a challenge to the organisations serving the visually challenged. Which organisation has the courage. Let us see the responses here. Reps from all top organisations are here in this group. Only a limited number of people and organisation have come forward in past. All must join in this effort. Six months ago, I and other candidates from different parts of the country took up the case with the CCPD. they issued the notice to the HRD and the UGC and it resulted in clear-cut mentioning of scribe fee Rs 1000 in the December 2015 NET Notification. However the issue still persists. The main reason behind centers disallowing candidates' own scribe is Rs 1000. They want this money to go to someone who is known to them. This is exactly the reason some of the centres play with blind candidates' lives. Really it is frastrating.but it is the time when we should not get frastrated from these incidents. even, the national capital has given same response to the students with blindness. lot of my friends were denied for scribe fee, some were scold for bringing their writers and some were scold for not bring their writer. some of the candidates would get money afterhard argument but most of the candidates were denied. here real need that we should file individual complain against NET conducting authority and demand for at least one lakh compensation for this harassment. here our organisation should come forward and take their active responsibility to facilitate our rights. My experience was the same even in Bangalore. I think, the new rules have been introduced by CBSE this time. The principal of "The Brigade School" in Bangalore refused to accept my scribe as she did not have a copy of degree certificate. First and foremost, I condemn the ridiculous policy of demanding the visually impaired candidates to meet the principal of the respective schools and to make sure of the scribing arrangements 1 week before the exam. while the non-disabled are peak in their preparations, why do we need to spare the last hours in these process that can be resolved with a reform? why we are not able to raise our concerns on this discriminatory, partial treatment? anyway, enjoy this. because you are divyang! cheers.
