And then there are issues of aligibility in terms of having studied in a specific stream, I suppose, at least to get into any of the big names. Most importantly though, is the mindset (or one could say, curiocity to some extent) Poor thing, How could it do programming if can't see? I must say, rest of everything else, you have to prepare and be ready to prove yourself at each and every step (more then compare to the traditional jobs). But if you're motivated by internal-push rather than fansy bush, go for it and grab whatever you get. The other hurdles that I see is you having to clear competitive exams. Again, you would need to get preparatory material in accessible format.
