Hi all,

I had a chance to see the prototype. The researchers make a compelling case for
their machine.

Agree with ajay but there are a few affordable watches too, on the
Android side at least and we do not yet know the cost of this product so
debating its affordability is perhaps too early. On the other side, Asif
sir is also right; Stakeholder should be consulted prior to
understanding problem statement and reaching for a solution.

But do we really need those? There are almost accessible smartwatches on both
Ios and Android. Apple watches are completely accessible like their other
products and there are WearOS watches too, which are mostly accessible with the
screen readers. I own a Tickwatch E3 which is completely accessible and
provides me all the information which this newly developed watch can provide so
why would I spend my money on a product which stands out and make me feel
special in a way I don't want to.

Best,

Satguru.

I am also enjoying my apple watch. Why we need special thinks every time? We
don’t want specific products. We want improvement in accessibility.
