[AI] Insensitivity towards visual impairment

2016-10-13 Thread deepak singla
Hello all
With this mail, I would like to point out issue of insensitivity
towards the vision impairment by Nodal agencies meant for Persons with
Disabilities:
1. On the official site of Chief Commissioner for PWDs, there are
links of ORDERS and Employment. There are several documents available
under these links but unfortunately these files are not accessible
with JAWS.
2. Similar is the case with the website of Department of Disability
affairs where a number of files are not accessible with screen reading
softwares.

When in today's world, the organisations absolutely working for
ensuring barrier free environment, equal opportunities and fulfillment
of needs of PWDs for accessible resources, actually fail to ensure the
same in their own establishments, what can one expect from the outer
world.

I am sorry to say, but its Pathetic.
