 approaches to get across concepts. In class 4, the diagrams/graphs
 aren't that hard, so can easily be explained using non-technological
 solutions. Saksham and XRCVC are doing some great work in trying to

 also be useful in junior classes to help consolidate concepts. If he
 chooses to write Math on the computer, LaTeX with Math Type is an

As per my experience provide him geometrical 3d toys and tell him to draw
around the edges on the paper sheets, this would make him successful in
both maths science and understanding the changing world easily.

Diagrams and maps are just tools which help understanding different 
concepts.

So do not give much importance to tools. rather, Try to grasp the concept.
Now-a-days, technology has made it possible for the visually impaired to 
study maps, diagrams etc.
However, in fourth standard, better use simple techniques to explain 
scientific concept.
I never got the opportunity to use the modern equipments as I was studying 
science and maths long back, but I was able to understand algebraic and 
geometric concepts, thanks to my teachers, who used inovative ideas to make 
me learn.

Agree with vedprakash sir. But I don't thing a student who is in class 4th

Dear All,
 As a follow up to the maths and science project e-mail that many of you must 
have seen , the XRCVC is currently in the process of data collection.(The Maths 
and Science project is undertaken by the XRCVC in partnership with Saksham and 
aims to fill in the much required gaps in this area.) 

  Please find attached the questionnaire that we are using to collect the data 
required . The questionnaire is for your reference to fill up. People who are 
interested may please get in touch with us and we would like to schedule a 
telephonic interview for for one hour at a mutually convenient time. Any 
individual/ organisation/care giver who have studied/ taught or are interested 
in the area of teaching and learning of mathematics and science by the visually 
impaired may respond to this e-mail to ars...@xrcvc.org .  Please also find 
attached the link , which you can use to fill up the questionnaire.
