2024-05-18 Thread Omkar Pawaskar
Hello everyone,

I wanted to bring to your attention a critical issue many of us are facing
with the Kotak 811 mobile banking app. The app suddenly closes whenever I
try to open it, and I'm unable to use any of its features. I've posted
about this issue on Twitter, and I request your support in getting it
resolved.

I kindly request you to like, retweet, and share this post as much as
possible, so that Kotak Mahindra Bank takes notice and resolves this issue
at the earliest.

Let's come together to get this issue resolved and make our mobile banking
experience smoother!

Thank you for your support!

Best regards,
Omkar Pawaskar.

[AI] Request to support the initiative of making apps and websites accessible for visually impaired people.

2024-04-25 Thread Omkar Pawaskar
Hi everyone. Hope you all are doing well.
I have received a feedback from someone about an issue of Google text to
speech. And the feedback is that, the voices of the Google text to speech
is pronouncing some Indian names wrongly. As I am using the vocaliser text
to speech, I have no idea that which Indian names the Google text to speech
is pronouncing incorrectly. But, on the basis of his feedback about the
pronouncing Indian names incorrectly by Google text to speech, I gave the
feedback to the disability help desk of Google, and they ask me to provide
some examples of Indian names which the Google TTS is pronouncing
incorrectly. so, I request you those in this group who are using the Google
TTS as there default text to speech engine with the Google talk back that
please provide me some examples of Indian language which the Google text to
speech is pronouncing incorrectly. so I can give the feedback to the Google
disability support team.
Thanks and regards. Omkar Pawaskar.

Re: [AI] Request to support the initiative of making apps and websites accessible for visually impaired people

2023-06-19 Thread Sandesh

It's not issue of
Talkback, I suppose.

Even Commentary screen reader does the same thing of announcing garbage on
the screen when Airtel ap pis opened.
And if I remember correctly, it started with some 2 years back release of
Airtel app. Prior, it at least was somehow manageable .

I suppose the matter equally be taken with the Talkback teams, because
once we open the Airtel app, everything is visible correctly to a
sighted person, I don't know why screen readers recognise all text
inside this particular app as complete garbage.

Hi Omkar,
I have liked and replied to your tweet from @LohiaHarshit. Legal
experts on the list may choose to reply to the tweet mentioning
specific sections of RPWD Act, 2016 making it mandatory for Airtel to
make its products and services accessible for persons with vision
impairment. consequences of non-compliance may also be highlighted to
Airtel.

Harshits
