[AI] Suggestions requested for the convention-Formation of a 'ste ering committee'
Hi the list, AI has been very informative forum readily available easy accessible relating IT. However, I feel things have been here quite in a haphazard way. Simply, any information asked for could flow from any quarter based on learners' as well as expert ones more dependant on what, when, who happens to read. I suppose AI forthcoming convention would be a good opportunity to form a committee a dedicated group which should take to flow the information to all AI members on the following as soon as they take place: 1. Should be invariably immediately informed through organised interactions with NGOs of any new VI assistive tool giving speech output (talk) that comes to India. 2. Identify visually challenged experts for expert opinion in their field, in case a VI AI member needs it. 3. Should act as a nodal agency for query resolution after AI forum. 4. Should be initiating causes of general VI interests to different ministries, public sector, etc. 5. Suggesting work based training orientation to NGOS (trainers) expected from a VI employee in offices today. Discussions /brainstorming sessions have been enough done, this convention should now aim at passing some concrete resolution a step ahead in blind welfare. Besides, AI should be more inclined to suggesting/ innovating highlighting VI assistive tech. talk with along with computers rather than exploring on high volume IT news which are mostly unapproachable with speech outputs. As of now I have not set the agenda and shall look forward for your inputs. So, pour your wish lists and we shall try to make it posible. This is sort of unconventional way of going about, however, I ardently desire that your trip fetches you good value for your time and money. Addition to this, a workshop on scope of self employment opportunities for visually impaired people where we can have a discussion on new prospective of business rather than focusing on the traditional self-employment areas like STD Booth and etc. Apart from all these workshops, we should conduct some group activity or game, musical performances etc in cultural activity cession to make the convention more luscious and amusing.
