[AI] Topics for convention
Dear All My personal thoughts, is that, we have, some sessions of importance and enough time for members to interact. This is indeed a balancing act and we shall make efforts to strike an optimum balance. Some of the broad areas I have been looking at are: 1 emerging technology 2 We have now the new law being on PWD in its final stages,we need to understand its fine print and do our bit. Besides, UNCRPD is now in force and we have not really moved in that direction. Finally the next 5 year plans are taking shape. In short lots of things happening in this space, we need to watch, speak out and asert our mind. if Nothing for us without us has bearing, we definately need to have an opinion first before we can speak out. 3 I see many parents of VI child joining the list. I guess, it would be timely if we can have a dedicated track on parenting. There would be 3 broad areas here. viz. able bodied parent of vi child, VI parent of able bodied child and both parent and child being VI. Folks, I have presented my thoughts and they are certainly open for review. The convention is what the members want it to be and we shall make all efforts to make it happen. The online registration is now open and can be accessed on: http://www.accessindia.org.in/harish/convention.htm The FAQ page is stale and needs to be updated. Awaiting inputs for it. However, it shall give a good idea though. Similarly, the Bank details shall be made available shortly for E.F.T. Members can certainly register now and keep updating their profile. Re: [AI] Topics for convention
Respected sir, Thanks for giving the link for registration and details for convention. Sir, there is a small typo on the home page that is date and venue is showing as 12 and 13 november 2008. One more thing, I could not find the link for registration form in the registration section. Further, it is showing 2nd accessindia convention on that page. It was a small input from my side as of the observation till now. Further I request to provide this link in signature line of the list itself. So that every one can easyly access it. Thanks and regards, Rohiet Patil - Original Message - From: Harish Kotian kot...@mtnl.net.in To: accessindia@accessindia.org.in Sent: Sunday, August 14, 2011 5:03 PM Subject: [AI] Topics for convention Dear All My personal thoughts, is that, we have, some sessions of importance and enough time for members to interact.
