Some key differences:
BrailleMe has cursor routing keys but Orbit does not. Orbit has commands to
move cursor character by character or word by word or go to beginning or end
of line. In 20 cell display Orbit took this approach for reaching to
desired character for editing.
Orbit has 8 dot cells where as BrailleMe has 6 dot cell. Indian language
doesn't have any standard for 8 dot braille. This is used extensively in
English computer braille and also to show cursor position.
Size of Orbit is slightly smaller than BrailleMe.
Orbit's braille display line is near the bottom edge whereas in BrailleMe
it is near to top edge like in a manual brailler.
Both displays support reading and writing of txt and Brf format files both
can be connected to mobile phone or computer via Bluetooth or cable and
support popular screen reading software such as braille-back on android,
voice over on IOS and NVDA on windows.
Cost of BrailleMe is about 5000 less than Orbit.
Thanks
Dipendra

Subject: [AI] questions about both braille displays
Hi friends! I would like to ask questions about both Braille displays Orbit
reader 20 and braille me.
1. What are the difference in the features of both devices? Which Braille
display I should buy?
2. How many formats and which book formats do support both? Do both gadgets
support PDF and EPUB formats?
