http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8246 --- Comment #44 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-05-01 12:24 --- Can someone try the patch from comment #43, pls. If this one works, it's the way to go. While Yakui's patch is nice from a generic point of view, it violates the spec and has the potential to break other machines. Yakui, if the patch from comment #43 should not work, it would be great if you can push a force_rsdt variable or similar inside ACPICA, so that machines can be dmi blacklisted. Hmm, I am still anxious that we ignore the real bug then. IMO it looks like a bug slipped in between 2.6.19.7 and 2.6.20 and I expect XSDT already was used (according to the specs) in 2.6.19 and before already? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. - This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event. http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10300 --- Comment #26 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-05-01 16:52 --- Same problem here on a Toshiba Satellite U300-13H laptop. Tested on several 2.6.24 versions and 2.6.25 currently. On console I get almost the same output that Romano (with different scan codes). On X I have the same problem and is that when I stop rolling the wheel, last event received is a key down. Some times the first event when I start rolling is key down. Also mind that rolling very little translates to a certain amount of key up/down events, where I would expect just one. This means that I am unable to get just a single key down/up sequence. I'm attaching the evtest output for the situation.
