Hi Dominic,
As our Spectrum Protect servers are running on AIX, I have created a new
Lubuntu VM as the object agent host system. When trying to define a new server
on the Spectrum Protect server, I am getting the following error message:
Protect: >def server SPP-Offload-Linux hla= lla=
objectagent=yes
ANR4623E The definition for object agent SPP-OFFLOAD-LINUX must specify an
HLADDRESS that matches an address in the server's default certificate.
ANS8001I Return code 1100.
I have provided the object agent's IP address in the hla field and the port
number in the lla field which I got from the Spectrum Protect server by running
'q opt TCPPort':
Protect: >q opt TCPPort
Server Option Option Setting
-
TCPPort
As far as I know, we are using CA-signed certificates.
IBM has told me that 'this fails because it does not have any reference to the
Object Agent host in it's SAN'. I am puzzled how to get around this certificate
issue.
Have you also used an additional object agent host system? Have you also
experienced this certificate issue, if so, how did you get around it?
Thanks,
---

issues
Hi Szabi,
I was working with another customer recently who set this up. What exactly
is the problem you are faced with?
Greetings, Dominic.
