What happened to adsm.org?
Hi, It seems to have disappeared from all dns servers out there. Add this to your local host file, and the site works as normal. 209.133.214.226 www.adsm.org adsm.org Håkon

On 08/23/2013 04:07 PM, Sven Seefeld wrote: Hi, we're experiencing slow performance while backing up a 1,5 TByte MS SQL 2008R2 database with the TDP SQL Agent 6.3. As for DR-scenarios, we're doing legacy backups only. The actual speed is usually around 20 MByte/s, backups go to LTO-5 tape directly. The backup stream has to pass through 3 different firewalls, so we're not quite sure where the bottle neck is located, MS SQL API, TDP Agent or IP-firewall (SAN-Storage and TSM-Server should outperform everything else). Maybe someone can share his performance values with me. Any hints are welcome. Regards, Sven Hi, Can you pos tyour dsm.opt and tdpsql.cfg? Re: dumpdb/reloaddb/auditdb
Hi, This may be helpful for you. Dumpdb is quick. a 100 Gb DB was done in about 2 hours. Load DB takes 2-4 times of dumpDB Audit DB takes about 1 hr/GB of DB http://adsm.org/forum/showthread.php?t=17033 Mvh, Håkon Tønder-Keul -Original Message- From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager on behalf of David E Ehresman Sent: Fri 3/6/2009 7:46 PM To: ADSM-L@VM.MARIST.EDU Subject: [ADSM-L] dumpdb/reloaddb/auditdb Can anyone who's had to go thru a dump db/load db/audit db cycle tell me the relative length of the three steps? If the dump db takes one unit of time, about how many units of times for the load db and the audit db? David
