Hi Folks, I'm trying to list all NT nodes with TSM Client V5.2.2.0 from the server. I have tried: select node_name,platform_name,client_version,client_release,client_level from nodes where client_version = 5 and client_release = 2 and client_level = 2 and platform_name like 'WinNT' but it didn't work, please give me some hints. Shukrie, Couple months ago at my shop we have bad microcodes and systems keep marking a lot of tapes private/ unavailable AND vary drives off-line. So have your IBM/CE checks the microcodes. Is there a way to install/apply atldd 5.5.1.0 without bouncing TSM?
Hi gurus, I have deleted path then using smitty to apply Atape 9.0.7.0 atldd 5.5.1.0 device driver. Atape 9.0.7.0 went fine. But atldd 5.5.1.0 failed because /dev/lmcp# is still available, can't applied. Until I bounced TSM and applied atldd again it was successfully. Is there a way to install atldd without taking TSM down? TSM5.2.2.3, AIX 5.2 Please advise. Hoa.

At my shop we have problems with tape and tape drives with old micro-codes of the device driver which marked tapes unavailable and sometime it marked tape drive offline, problems fixed with most update microcode, but very pain because I have to go thru software AND hardware level2 support. Hi Lucian, We do very simple: - Through TSM schedule to backup DB with flat file to Disk beginning of hour. - 45' later a script to archive the file to other site. Database disks have average activity about 0,5MByte/s read and 0,5Mbyte write during both backups and expiration, and about 12Mbyte/s read during TSM database backup. But there is about 25% processing time waiting for I/O during both backups and expiration. I have some other experiences on smaller TSM systems with different configurations, on different hardware and platforms, but all these systems are much more loaded during expiraton process than during backups. Am I supposed to find some bottlenecks in filesystem/OS/TSM settings? Or is this fenomen caused by size of TSM environment and is it normal?
